Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, buying, sourcing and expediting materials, commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers.
- Execute cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain and execute supplier's scorecard programs.
- Work towards achieving given objectives such as inventory management, cost reduction, materials availability and quality management.
- Other duties as required.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering / science/ mathematics/ Materials /Industrial Engineering.
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 5 years working experience for bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical or equivalent.
- At least 8 years working experience for Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent.
- Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous.
- Able to perform in fast paced environment; Preferably experience from manufacturing environment.
- Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Job Summary
Responsible for optimizing the overall cost of materials, developing supply base and supply chain strategies, negotiating pricing, terms, and agreements for materials that are strategic or specific to the Business Unit. Supervisory responsibility for Purchasing staff within the workcell.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze and project component purchase prices that accurately reflect the inventory value for a financial period in the Standard Costing process.
- Assist hiring managers by participating in recruiting and hiring activities.
- Ensure that workcell Purchasing staff are given proper training, tools, and resources to execute their job functions. Develop and facilitate workcell-specific training.
- Optimize the overall cost of materials.
- Support, execute, and provide inputs to improve Jabil SCM initiatives and strategies.

- Understand suppliers' capabilities, market trends, and technologies for assigned commodities.
- Communicate Jabil's expectations to suppliers. Conduct supplier audits, certifications, and performance reviews to develop and improve the supply base.
- Develop supply chain strategies tailored to customer or Business Unit strategic materials, understanding customer business requirements and working with Purchasing and SCM teams to meet these needs. Influence customer supply chain strategies to leverage Jabil's.
- Collaborate with Materials Quote Analysts to quote new and existing materials, frequently re-quoting and negotiating to capitalize on cost reduction opportunities. - Minimum 5 years in electronic product manufacturing quality inspection or relevant educational background with potential for growth.
