Job Description
Provide legal advice to ensure compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations (Housing Development Act, Contracts Act, Employment Act etc.)
Drafting and review various agreement, contracts, legal documents, including Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA) and loan documentation.
Advise on employment law compliance or HR legal matters, e.g. employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, workplace disputes, worker issues and etc.
Participating in initiatives, exercises, projects and schemes undertaken by the Companies and provide legal input.
To provide legal advice and supports to various departments within the company, its subsidiaries, affiliates and/or on matters affecting their business administration and operations, corporate and commercial activities.
Monitor regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters.
Assist in litigation support and case management.
Participate in negotiations and settlements.
Handling other conveyancing and corporate work as assigned by the management, e.g. bridging loan, due diligence and etc.
Conduct legal research on regulatory updates.
Any ad hoc assignment assign by the Company from time to time.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in-house legal roles (property/construction).
Familiarity with Strata Title Act, Housing Development Act, and Construction Industry Payment & Adjudication Act (CIPAA).
Knowledge of data protection laws (PDPA) and corporate governance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Professional Degree or equivalent.
minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
Relevant experience preferably from Property Developer & Construction companies is an added advantage.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Proficient in problem-solving and negotiation.
Excellent command of written and oral English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as job role is required to communicate in Mandarin.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Experience in contract drafting, legal writing, and documentation.
Familiarity with litigation support processes.
Excellent presentation skills.
Knowledge of Malaysian legal regulations and practices.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

- Experience in Compliance related manners, preferably Healthcare Compliance. Able to formulate responses to Letter of Demand and liaise with external counsels on litigation matters.

REQUIREMENTS:
– Min. 10 years’ experience (post admission to the Malaysian Bar).
– Must be analytical and able to work independently.
– A team player, communications and leadership skills.
– Possess good negotiation skills.
– Fluent in oral & written English.
– Experienced in oil and gas industry.
– Familiar with the Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements and upstream oil & gas operations agreements.
– Familiar with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry.
– Proven teamwork, communications, and leadership skills.
