Let's talk about the team:

The Legal Operations Support Associate will play a key role in supporting and improving the operations of Resmed’s Legal Team.

They will be responsible for helping to ensure the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of day-to-day Legal Operations, specifically focused on the Internet Policy Administration and Sales Terms Enforcement activities. This is an integral role within the Legal Operations function, requiring strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to execute legal support tasks seamlessly.

Let’s talk about the role:

  • Execute day to day internet policy administration and sales terms enforcement operations

  • Serve as the first line of support for troubleshooting customer inquiries and working with leadership for resolution

  • Drive process efficiency by documenting SOPs for core legal operations, ensuring standardization and clarity.

  • Continuously improve legal processes by documenting workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending optimizations.

  • Own and triage the InternetSales mailbox, responding to queries, routing requests and tracking recurring issues

  • Review and validate customer internet applications, websites, listings, pricing, and promotional activities

  • Monitor digital sales channels and conduct reviews of reseller websites and e-commerce platforms

  • Investigate suspected breaches of sales terms and coordinate with Legal and Sales teams on recourse

  • Consolidate internet sales reports, generate activity summaries, and lead reporting initiatives for leadership review.

  • Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Compliance, and IT teams to refine enforcement protocols and support strategic initiatives.

  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams and external stakeholders on acceptable use and policy implementation.

Required:

  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial operations, internet sales, or policy administration.

  • Strong English skills (written and verbal) to write/create basic reports and business correspondence.

  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.

  • Well organized, detailed oriented and deadline oriented

  • Strong personal computer skills and familiarity with Windows-based software (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet browsers).

  • Experience working in a multinational company.

  • Possess a process improvement mindset, with a track record of identifying and executing on continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Operations/ Shared Services environment in multi-national operations.
  • Experience working with US, European or other overseas counterparts.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Oracle and CRM (Salesforce).

The Legal Support Lead Officer is a senior level role, responsible for providing legal support to the business teams in various APAC jurisdictions re. Commercial Cards, Cash, Liquidity, Trade, and Investor Services. This is also a support function (not a country counsel or product role), where focus is on hiring a suitable candidate with specific and detailed exposure to agreements and negotiation of said agreements re. Commercial Cards business. The overall objective of this role is to provide support to the Legal Team. There will be substantial exposure to ideation, drafting, negotiating for all aforesaid five products/ lines of business. Such exposure (or more) will also depend on the ability of candidate to shoulder said responsibility. Selected candidate may also be guiding junior officers within the team, thereby giving substantial leadership opportunity as well that may be expanded depending on the candidate review of contributions by senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Product Legal in periodic review, and where required, standardization of templates (agreements etc.). Liaising with country counsel of given jurisdiction for incorporating said jurisdiction specific points in the legal documentation for relevant product.
  • Assisting business in review and resolution of legal queries pertaining to any of these 5 products (N.B.: Primary focus shall remain on Commercial Cards).
  • Responsible for legal support activities related to legal operations, litigation, settlements, or negotiation and contract administration etc.
  • Manage the execution, review, processing and tracking of legal documentation and records, executes transactions and completes varied work requests from multiple sources that may be complex in character and have tight deadlines. Record keeping re. approvals given to business and other departments will also form an integral part of this role.
  • Single handedly help local business or country counsel negotiate agreements with clients.
  • Participate in legal programs and projects to achieve coordinated and efficient process improvements and legal support solutions. Liaise with other control/ functional businesses in support of initiatives pertaining to products within scope (see job description above).
  • Interact with senior leaders, internal and external peers to gather information and works closely with the team’s management to determine legal solutions. Make PPTs/ Excel presentations and present them to senior management (business/ legal) for explaining any given issue.
  • Undertake periodic knowledge sessions (on specific topics) for business or legal colleagues for any of the aforesaid products (particularly for Comm. Cards).
  • Remain updated and current with regulatory changes (new regulations etc.), internal policy changes and developments in the law for aforesaid Products.
  • Conduct independent research, investigations and analysis, applying institutional knowledge and knowledge of laws, rules and regulations, to support in the identification of legal solutions situations or to formulate an approach or strategy.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of how associated risks differ depending on product and documentation as envisaged in relevant jurisdiction(s) and provides advice to Risk and Business.
  • Assess risk (incl. reputational risk) when business decisions are being made. Help business arrive at a fair outcome for clients.
  • Adhering to firm’s Policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices. Escalating issues in a timely and professional manner, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience (on business or legal side), preferably with some experience working in an in-house legal role within financial services.
  • Must possess excellent oratory, interpersonal, and project management skills, as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior management formally.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of English and Malay language (written and spoken). Ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin/ Cantonese may be helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal customs and practices re. Commercial Cards. Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Ability to manage complex documentation with organization and detail.

Education:

  • Bachelors/ University degree, Masters’ degree preferred. Someone with Bachelors / Masters in Law may be preferred even if currently working within a business team.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Assist the Group Legal Manager in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents including contracts, MOUs, NDAs, and other agreements. Provide professional legal support, anticipate and address potential issues in contract drafting, disputes or regulatory compliance before they escalate, to ensure smoother project execution and protect the Company’s interests. Conduct legal research and prepare concise summaries or briefings on relevant legislation, regulatory updates, and case law in Malaysia and, where applicable, international jurisdictions. Support contract negotiations and monitor contractual obligations to ensure compliance with terms and conditions. Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders including regulators, consultants, and law firms. Maintain and organize legal files, databases, and documentation in a structured and secure manner. Translate legal and commercial documents (Mandarin to English and vice versa), where required. Assist with dispute resolution, litigation support, and case management as needed. Stay updated on sector-specific legal and regulatory developments across Telecommunications, AI, Construction, Oil & Gas and Renewables. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent. Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or Bar qualification is an advantage. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a legal, corporate, or in-house counsel environment. Sound understanding of Malaysian corporate and commercial law; familiarity with sector-specific regulations is a plus. Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills. High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism. Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in in-house legal departments managing legal matters across multiple business functions. Demonstrated expertise in Intellectual Property Law, Energy Law, or Construction Law, including contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and familiarity with industry-specific legal and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with other sectors such as Telecommunications, AI, Oil & Gas, or Renewable Energy is an added advantage. Familiarity with local and international contract structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for legal and administrative work. Seniority level
