Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Managing Partner, an associate will be responsible for assisting the partners and senior associates of OLCL with client work and ancillary operational matters. The main responsibilities include providing quality Cayman Islands legal advice and supporting business development and team management initiatives. The role requires knowledge of basic legal transactions and may involve delegating tasks to junior team members.
Main Responsibilities
Organic growth and expansion- Assist in developing and communicating OLCL’s strategic direction.
- Implement effective business development and cross-selling plans.
- Represent OLCL in dealings with other law firms and organizations involved in client matters.
- Seek client feedback and adapt to market expectations.
- Prepare articles, thought pieces, and social media updates.
- Deliver client-centric services.
- Follow policies to protect staff, clients, and assets.
- Assist with knowledge management and information sharing.
- Embrace and provide feedback on deployed technology.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Assist in managing and developing junior team members.
- Maintain a positive working environment.
- Encourage staff growth and training initiatives.
- Support OLCL’s profitability through proper matter management.
- Perform other related activities as required.
