• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support our chemical analysts in daily laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will assist in sample preparation, basic testing, record-keeping, and maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment.

• Assist in receiving, labeling, and preparing samples of raw materials and finished products.
• Support chemical analysts in routine analytical tests and documentation.
• Perform basic measurements and observations under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the lab, including cleaning glassware and equipment.
• Record data accurately in lab logbooks or digital systems.
• Monitor lab supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Comply with all lab safety rules and company policies.
• Participate in internal training sessions to improve lab skills.

Academic Qualification Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or related field preferred.

Other Requirements

• Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.) for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and work as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a lab environment is an advantage but not mandatory—training will be provided.

As the Lab Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting our Flavour Icon review program through flavour screening, evaluation, and food application. In this position, you will collaborate with R&D teams on exciting food applications across various categories, including Dairy, Beverage, Bakery, Confectionery, Savoury, and Snacks. You'll be based in Kelana Jaya while reporting to the Commercial Manager .

• Support the Flavour Icon review program, including flavour screening, evaluation, and food application.
• Manage flavour sampling requests, oversee stock replenishment, and update the LCMS system while implementing 5S practices in the sampling lab.
• Collaborate with R&D teams on food applications across various categories, including Dairy, Beverage, Bakery, Confectionery, Savoury, and Snacks.
• Assist the Food Technology team with compounding tasks as required.
• Manage lab instrumentation, equipment, consumables, and ingredients in the sweet and savoury application labs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Technical Manager and/or Senior Food Technicians.

• Perform lab tests required to maintain quality of process streams, finished products, and discharged wastes
