The Lab Technician supports the QC Chemist and broader quality team by performing routine laboratory tests and analyses to ensure product quality and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Quality Control
- Ensure the incoming inspection is performed based on a quality plan and result deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
- Report immediately to the QC Chemist and QC supervisor on non-conformances, anomalies, and disputes and other related matters.
- Ensure smooth operation during the working hours of the laboratory without major disruption.
- Ensure zero violation in lab operation.
- Ensure all the monitoring records and verification records are updated.
- Ensure all tests carried out are compliance to testing methods.
- Ensure all lab equipment are well-maintained to produce reliable results and no overdue in calibration and preventive maintenance.
- Involve actively in interlaboratory proficiency program.
- Ensure that all quality and technical operations are in full compliance with EHSQ and Food Safety management systems and other compliance obligations.
- Shall adhere to all company’s policies, rules, and regulations and committed to the company’s quality and continuous improvement programs such as MS ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, RSPO, BRC, EMS.
Effluent Treatment Plant
- To assist the superior to ensure the smooth running of Effluent Treatment Plant.
- To take, monitor & record process condition in logbook & log sheet as per required time & submit to supervisor at end of the shift.
- To ensure final discharge water from the effluent treatment plant is within authority limit or other required specification.
- To communicate and get information from production if observe any abnormal incoming effluent.
- To carry out analysis on the influent & effluent sample.
- To manage non-scheduled waste & scheduled waste as per regulation requirement.
- To prepare chemical for plant operation and monitor chemical inventory.
- Adhere to all company policies, rules, and regulations and committed to company’s quality and continuous improvement programs such as ISO 14001 & EHS Standards.

Lab Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Lab Technician to support the Biologist/Chemist/Biochemist in conducting laboratory analyses related to biogas production. The Lab Technician will be responsible for collecting samples, performing routine tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate data collection and contributing to the efficient operation of the plant's biological and chemical processes. You will play an essential role in monitoring the health of microbial systems, ensuring optimal biogas production, and maintaining compliance with environmental standards.
Responsibilities- Sample Collection & Preparation: Collect and prepare biological and chemical samples from the biogas production process, including feedstock, digestate, and following proper protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Routine Laboratory Testing: Perform routine tests under the guidance of the Biologist/Chemist/Biochemist, such as pH measurements, nutrient levels, and microbial health assessments. Ensure accurate data collection and timely reporting.
- Data Recording & Reporting: Record laboratory test results accurately and organize data in logs or databases. Assist in preparing reports and summaries for the Biologist/Chemist/Biochemist to support process optimization efforts.
- Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that laboratory instruments and equipment, such as pH meters, and centrifuges, are maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly. Report any equipment malfunctions or required maintenance to the supervisor.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Assist in ensuring that all laboratory procedures follow established protocols and maintain a high standard of quality control. Help in verifying that testing results are consistent and reliable.
- Chemical Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitor laboratory supplies, such as reagents, glassware, and consumables, ensuring that stock levels are adequate. Coordinate with the Biologist/Chemist/Biochemist to reorder supplies when necessary.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures in the laboratory, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals and biological materials. Assist in maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.
- Support for Research & Development: Provide assistance to the Biologist/Chemist/Biochemist in research projects aimed at improving biogas production processes. Help in setting up experiments and collecting data as needed.
- Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in laboratory technology, biology, chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in an industrial or biogas-related facility.
- Laboratory Skills: Basic laboratory skills such as sample handling, equipment operation, and data recording. Familiarity with tests like pH measurement, gas chromatography, and microbial analysis is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision when conducting tests and recording data.
- Technical Competence: Ability to operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment. Experience in maintaining laboratory cleanliness and ensuring quality control is essential.
