Location: Ivory Coast (West Africa)
OverviewOur client is an independent contract laboratory supporting industries such as food, water, mining, petroleum, textiles, and agriculture with impartial testing and compliance services. Operating under international standards, they rely on highly specialized laboratory equipment to deliver accurate, reliable, and timely results for multinational clients.
Responsibilities- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the full functionality of laboratory instruments to minimize downtime and support reliable test results.
- Provide technical expertise and train laboratory staff on correct usage of equipment.
- Document maintenance and calibration activities in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers for components, repairs, and commissioning of equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of laboratory equipment (chromatographs, spectrometers, incubators, balances, ovens, etc.).
- Proven track record in preventive and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to calibrate instruments and maintain documentation in line with ISO 17025 requirements.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance (preferably in laboratory or industrial environments).
- Autonomy, reliability, and capacity to liaise with suppliers and service providers.
- Prior experience working in an ISO-accredited laboratory context.
- Familiarity with equipment procurement, installation, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Capacity to support external service interventions or vendor liaison for highly specialized instruments.

Requirements:-
- Diploma/Certificate in Electrical (Chargeman, Wireman PW1, PW2, PW3, PW4)/Electronics/Microelectronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Pneumatic or equivalent
- 2-3 years working experiences in equipment and preventive maintenance
- Experienced with vacuum pumps, vacuum oven, hot plate heater, dust collector unit and equipment

- To liaise with contractors/vendors to ensure contractor/vendor are well understand on the installation works requirement and specification accordingly to the contract agreement as provided by immediate superior.
- To monitor the work of vendors specialized engaging in maintenance service works, such as maintenance service works in cooling tower, argon gas farm, dust collector system & other service work by vendors, and require reporting any deviation to maintenance engineer/equipment manager for further action
- To ensure all tools, equipment, consumable items and spare parts are properly stored, cleaned and handle based on first-in first -out basis. Maintain neat work area and follow safety rules
