Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Incident Troubleshooting & Resolution

- Proficiency in virtualization technologies and cloud-based or on-premise virtual machines.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems administration.
- Proficient in using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or any renowned alerting platforms
- Experience with logging and incident response systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshworks).
- Practical knowledge of backup and disaster recovery (DR) processes and technologies.

Prometric is seeking highly motivated, system administrator to handle daily functions. The administrator functions include backup checks, restoring data, building VM servers, daily production support, monthly Microsoft security patching and software deployments.
The candidate will work one evening shift in support of the global teams of Production Support, System Engineering and development. Candidates will be asked to work weekends for monthly security patching, production deployments and on-call support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Build and maintain a variety of operating systems VM servers to include Microsoft and Linux.
- Perform monthly Microsoft security patching to all environments.
- Perform daily backup checks of all production environments and correct if there are issues.
- On request, restore data from backups.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and outside representatives.
- Execute ongoing procedures for upgrades to servers, applications and networks, inclusive of patching and configuration changes necessary for server hardening.
- Deploy internally developed software in test and production environments.
- Provide on call support after standard business hours and be available for weekend software deployments into the production environment.
- When needed, assist the Cyber Security team in checking daily lists.

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Junior Associate Support Resource to join our team. This individual will provide technical support for Weblogic, TOMCAT, Apache, and MQ systems, ensuring optimal performance, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in server and application management. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of web application servers and messaging queue systems, along with the drive to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day support for Weblogic, TOMCAT, Apache, and MQ environments.
· Monitor and troubleshoot application server performance and resolve incidents.
· Assist in deploying and configuring applications on Weblogic, TOMCAT, Apache, and MQ servers.
· Collaborate with senior team members to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and application issues.
· Work on routine server maintenance, including patching, version upgrades, and configuration changes.
· Perform troubleshooting and debugging of application and server logs.
· Contribute to system backups and ensure the integrity of data across platforms.
· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth operation and integration of services.
· Assist in the automation of tasks to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
· Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
· Basic knowledge of Weblogic, TOMCAT, Apache, and MQ server technologies.
· Familiarity with web servers and application server deployment.
· Experience in troubleshooting application and server issues.
· Understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident management.
· Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Shell, Python, or similar).
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
· Willingness to learn new technologies and tools as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience working with application servers such as Weblogic, TOMCAT, Apache, or MQ.
· Exposure to cloud environments or containerized solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
· Understanding of system security principles and best practices.
