Site Surveying and Measurements:
- Site Assessment: Surveyors assess the land or site where construction will take place, taking precise measurements to determine boundaries, elevation, and features.

- Topographic Surveys: Create maps of the site that show natural features (hills, streams) and man-made structures (roads, buildings) to inform construction planning.
- Setting Out the Project:
- Marking Boundaries: Surveyors define and mark the boundaries of the construction site to avoid encroachment on neighboring properties.
- Defining Building Footprint: They set out the exact locations where structures like buildings, roads, and utilities will be built based on the design plans.
- Elevation Checks: Ensure that levels, grades, and elevation align with the construction plans, especially for foundations, road grading, and drainage systems.
- Monitoring and Verifying Construction Progress:
- Regular Inspections: Construction surveyors regularly inspect the site to verify that the work is being done according to the original design and within the set boundaries.
- Ensuring Compliance: They check that construction follows the required standards, specifications, and legal regulations (zoning, safety codes, etc.).
- Detecting and Correcting Errors: If deviations from the design occur, surveyors identify and correct them to avoid costly mistakes later.
- Mapping and Reporting:
- Produce Site Plans: Surveyors create detailed site plans or maps showing all relevant land features, utilities, and structures.
- Data Collection: They collect and document measurement data throughout the construction process to ensure that project milestones are met accurately.
- Reporting: Surveyors prepare reports on their findings, including documentation of measurements, site conditions, and any discrepancies or issues that arise.

AHK Malaysia provides services to the mining, metals, refining and recycling industries in a variety of capacities including auditing, supervision, sampling and analysis of metals and minerals derived from the previously mentioned practices.
As a Surveyor you will be responsible for ensuring client instructions are carried out at various consignment locations. You will act as an independent party to verify compliance to agreed processes and provide details to clients regarding the handling of their product. Responsibilities:
- Attend inspection locations for the loading and unloading of cargoes in accordance with job instructions.
- Routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Validate and communicate all results of inspection to the Operation Supervisor in accordance with standard operational procedures and controlled documents.
- Maintain inspection records and ensure all work areas and equipment are clean and in a safe condition necessary for the performance of all job-related tasks.
- Operate in accordance with company policies, ethics and health and safety policies and procedures at all times, including site specific requirements.
- Inspecting, supervision of sampling, weighing and subsequent sealing of samples in accordance with established procedures.
- Updating internal and external clients throughout a job with key information pertinent to the operations; this includes, but not limited to, job timeline, material condition, facility access and any issues/ problems that may arise.
- Provide internal daily job updates via email, spreadsheets and business applications that are already established.
- Establishing and maintaining sample integrity and security. Thereafter ensure safe delivery and dispatch of samples at the courier depot.
- Ensuring security of seals and other sealing materials.
- Capturing, checking, correcting and updating pertinent job data and information.
- Correctly utilising, maintaining and securing project tools, equipment and stores.
- Maintaining high levels of work quality, safety standards and professionalism at site.
- Undertaking daily safety & risk routines for their own health, safety, security and environment.
- Ensuring appropriate PPE, tools and equipment are always correctly used, maintained and safeguarded.
- Ensuring safety procedures are strictly observed.
- Ensuring good housekeeping practices are always maintained.
- Ensuring high standards of professionalism, objectivity and integrity are maintained.
- Ensuring confidentiality of client and company information.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Languages
