The Role
Conveyancing:
- Handle sale and purchase agreements (including developer projects and sub-sale);
- Handle all loan documentation for end-financing;
- Handle all other conveyancing matters such as tenancy agreements, perfection of transfer and charge, discharge of charge/receipt and reassignment, etc.;
- Liaise with clients, banks, and relevant authorities in government departments;
- Monitor the progress of clients' files to maintain and update file status on our operation system;
- Administer files and maintain correspondences and documents in a proper filing system.
Corporate and Commercial:
- Provide legal advice and support in corporate transactions;
- Draft and review commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents;
- Assist in the formation and dissolution of companies, partnerships, and other business entities;
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other business-related meetings;
- Collaborate with the litigation department to handle any disputes or legal issues arising in corporate and commercial matters.
Litigation:
- Assist in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents;
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and legal arguments;
- Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations;
- Liaise with clients to provide updates on case progress and strategy;
- Assist in settlement negotiations and explore alternative dispute resolution methods;
- Support the senior litigation team in various aspects of case management.
Ideal Profile
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in law and a valid Practicing Certificate;
- Good command of English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia;
- At least 2 years of experience in conveyancing, corporate and commercial, or litigation is preferred; however, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply, and comprehensive training will be provided;
- Candidates must possess a good attitude, be self-motivated, responsible, willing to learn, and able to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision.
