KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Draft, review, negotiate, and comment on legal documentation, highlighting risks, breaches, and non-compliance under applicable laws. Assist in negotiations to secure favorable legal and commercial terms, minimizing legal liabilities.
- Provide accurate, timely legal advice/support to various divisions/departments, including litigation, conveyancing, corporate, intellectual property, and industrial relations.
- Participate in projects such as corporate restructuring, business ventures, financing, due diligence, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Manage external lawyers and advisers on legal matters, including litigation and disputes.
- Conduct legal training and briefings for Duopharma Biotech Group staff as needed.
- Offer legal consultation on new or changing services, processes, systems, policies, and other ad-hoc tasks.
- Prepare and submit status reports as required by the Chief Legal Officer.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Laws (Honors)
- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably as an advocate and solicitor admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
- Familiarity with laws/regulations such as the Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Contracts Act 1950, and Securities Commission guidelines.
- General knowledge of intellectual property, anti-competition, data protection, and litigation.
