JOB SUMMARY

This role leads the Finance Solutions Unit, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Solutions under the Digital Enterprise Solutions Department. It focuses on managing and supporting technology portfolios to ensure system health, performance, and alignment with business requirements, while leading project implementations and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver successful solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide maintenance support in the technology portfolio ensuring systems healthiness and performance meet SLA particularly in financial application solutions.
  • Administers, monitors and regulates platform components of the systems, covering aspects of application related components and integration with other internal and external systems.
  • Assess and implement a system improvement plan to ensure reduction of incidents/problems and improve system stability and performance with appropriate preventive and proactive action in place.
  • Understand business requirements, drive analysis, support and assess gaps, impacts and requirements on application/solution supported.
  • Manage project and solution deliveries in alignment with business requirements. Explore and implement enterprise-wide technology enablement in accordance with business strategy and the latest technologies.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of solutions in meeting user’s requirements and objectives.

Application Management

  • Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise IT applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and standards. Manage application efficiencies, support ITIL practices, and handle incident and problem management.
  • Collaborate with departments on new initiatives and system improvements. Ensure compliance with audit processes, manage releases through CAB reviews, and support Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning.

Project / Change Management

  • Oversee application project implementation, change requests, financial management (CAPEX and OPEX), manage project resources, ensuring delivery within cost, timeline, and scope. Handle issues, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure setup, application integration, testing (SIT and UAT), and architecture design. Align business requirements with solutions, assist with business cases, RFPs, and technical specifications. Propose system enhancements and ensure quality delivery.

Supplier Management

  • Work with suppliers on IT project development, system troubleshooting, and managing delivery quality. Participate in reviewing and evaluating supplier solutions through RFP/negotiation processes and assist in preparing necessary project documents.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, conduct regular system performance reviews, and collaborate with vendors on improvement plans to ensure comprehensive assessments for vendor and solution selection.

People Development

  • Work closely with the supervisor, providing leadership and support to the team, ensuring clear communication and achieving EPF vision, mission, and goals.
  • Manage and guide the team, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for career development and meeting job responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Pass Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field, recognized by the Government from any accredited local or international higher learning institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in developing and supporting financial applications, particularly in SAP ECC6, SAP BW, SAP DM, SAP BPC, and other financial applications.
  • Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, particularly in RICEFW, BAPI, BADI, and the enhancement framework, is essential.
  • SAP certification with S/4 HANA implementation experience OR Oracle Fusion certification and implementation experience is an advantage. Possess a strong knowledge of ERP/Financial modules and functionalities i.e. AP, GL, AR, Fixed Asset, Procurement, Financial Reporting etc.
  • Familiar with ERP/Financial processes, routing and approval flow i.e. payment process, procurement process etc.
  • Knowledgeable in ERP/Financial integration approaches and methodologies with external systems.

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused engineers to be part of our Enterprise Services Team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a highly technical role that will require you to be proficient in different technologies as you will be exposed to the full IT landscape and not just a subset of the technology. You will be part of a mature 24/7 operation with deep technical skills in many different areas. You will work closely with our colleagues in London and other locations in providing quality 24/7 support to our diverse range of clients.

Office hours: Shift work required to cover a 24/7 operation via 12-hour shift patterns on a rotational basis. This includes working on public holidays when it falls on your shift (Overtime provided). You will be required to work every alternate weekend on a 2-2-3 pattern. (Shift allowance provided)

Responsibilities

The role will involve supporting large enterprise customers by dealing with service tickets from a variety of sources at any time of the day. You will be supporting multiple technologies which include Wintel, AD, Exchange, Cloud (Azure/O365), Networking, end user escalations and security-related incidents. Where required, you will be in direct contact with the customer as well as 3rd party vendors at any time of the day.

Experience and skills

Must have

  • At least 3 years experience in a server admin role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
  • Understanding of Networking and experience around UTM devices, routers and switches
  • Experience of working with Microsoft cloud services (Azure/M365)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

The Solutions Engineer will undertake the implementation of multiple cybersecurity/network products at the L1/2 level, encompassing tasks such as installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support for the assigned cybersecurity/networks product. This position is ideal for an individual with some basic knowledge to post-sales, networks / cybersecurity, making it an excellent opportunity for those taking their initial steps in their career journey. This role will report to Technical Manager.

As the Solutions Engineer, you will:

  • Support calls for L2 troubleshooting
  • Handle Project Kick off Meeting
  • Mounting / Relocation of cybersecurity equipment
  • Configuration of cybersecurity equipment
  • Migration of cyber security equipment
  • User Acceptance Test
  • To draft documentation for project
  • Proactively managing customer’s expectation
  • Knowledge Transfer to the partners or end users
  • Involve in the Vendor Training


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Solutions Engineer:

  • ITE or Diploma in IT/Network related field
  • Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in multitasking and capable of excelling in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Capable of performing effectively in high-pressure situations.

The Solution Analyst is responsible for designing and delivering web application solutions that align with user and business needs. This role combines business analysis with a strong technical foundation in relational database design and solution architecture. The Solution Analyst ensures that the application design not only supports workflows and business processes but is also technically robust and scalable. Job Responsibilities: Study and analyze user and business requirements to develop end-to-end logical designs for web applications. Write user stories, workflows, and process flows to clearly define the solution's functionality and usability. Create and maintain Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and relational database designs for optimal data management and integration. Design SQL databases, including schema definition, normalization, and optimization for performance. Develop wireframes/mockups to illustrate the intended user interface and interactions. Collaborate closely with software engineers, quality assurance testers, and operations teams to refine and implement the design, ensuring alignment with requirements. Provide guidance and recommendations for improving existing systems to enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Think holistically about the solution, integrating technical design, user experience, and business goals. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, software analysis and design, or solution design roles. Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL, including hands-on experience designing and implementing databases. Proficiency in creating and interpreting Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD). Relevant knowledge in web application design, including UI/UX best practices and standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is a plus.
