An International PMC hiring for 3 positions for Senior Construction Managers and Senior Project Managers (CSA/MEP) with Data Centre Construction Experience to be based in KL/Cyberjaya/Johor Bahru. Client is an international PMC involved in multiple data centre construction projects.

Position 1: Senior Construction Managers (Data Centre Construction) - Multiple Vacancies (KL/Cyberjaya/JB)

Role Overview

The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the construction phase of a high-profile data centre project in Malaysia. The successful candidate will ensure that all site activities are executed in accordance with the project programme, budget, quality standards, statutory requirements, and client expectations. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, technical expertise in data centre or industrial construction, and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects for international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site construction activities for the assigned data centre project, ensuring work is executed safely, on time, and within budget.

• Oversee and coordinate the performance of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications, schedules, and quality requirements.

• Implement and maintain effective site management practices in accordance with PMC procedures.

• Monitor project progress against the programme, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Manage cost, programme, construction quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.

• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and materials submissions in compliance with project and statutory requirements.

• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian construction laws, regulations, and statutory approvals.

• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the client, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.

• Prepare and submit regular site progress reports, risk assessments, and other project documentation to senior management and clients.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 8–10 years' relevant construction management experience, with at least 3–5 years in data centre or large-scale industrial projects.

• Preferred Background: Data centre construction or mission-critical facilities experience is highly desirable.

• Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of FIDIC contract administration, Malaysian construction practices, and statutory compliance requirements.

Position 2: Senior Project Managers (CSA) - Data Centre Construction - Multiple Vacancies (KL/Cyberjaya/JB)

Key Responsibilities:

Tender Management

• Lead the review and management of CSA tender scope, ensuring technical and programme compliance from tender issuance through to award.
• Coordinate with design consultants and internal stakeholders to align tender documentation with project requirements.
• Evaluate contractor submissions for compliance, value engineering opportunities, and programme feasibility.

Early Works Management

• Prepare and manage early works tender packages, including direct negotiations where applicable.
• Oversee execution of early works, including:
• Piling and pile caps
• In-ground services

Site setup and logistics

• Review and coordination of drawings and WS3-4 design drawings
• Ensure compliance with AHJ (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) requirements for commencement of works.

Project Leadership

• Lead CSA scope from pre-construction through to early works completion.
• Interface with client, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and quality.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Candidate Preferences:

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for all technical infrastructure delivery activities for assigned projects, under the guidance
• Track project/program status, manage and escalate risks, and ensure all deliverables meet the specified requirements outlined in Bills of Materials, procurement orders, and design documents.
• Secure all necessary clearances from Solution Teams and Enterprise Architects for infrastructure deliverables.
• Enforce compliance with security hardening, patch updates, and organizational security protocols throughout the system build process.
• Ensure timely and on-budget delivery of technical infrastructure and system resources, adhering to the highest quality standards and project team expectations.
• Identify, assess, and proactively communicate potential risks while sharing best risk management practices.

• Validate operational status of all agents, raising tickets and capturing console screenshots as evidence of successful deployment.
• Compile all artefacts and evidence in final transition documents (IGPS for seamless handover to BAU operations.
• Access CyberArk to verify ID lodgment, compile evidence, and ensure all documentation is comprehensive and audit-ready.

Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in technical project management, specifically within IT infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, security protocols, and system architectures

Qualification
