We seek a Project Manager for our Infrastructure Team to lead "on-prem to cloud migration projects for a leading Insurer from the Infrastructure perspective. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of project management experience in infrastructure and cloud technologies. You will coordinate with regional teams, manage project risks, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Relevant certifications like PMP or Scrum Master are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with business units, technical teams, governance teams, and service providers on project implementation plans.
  • Deliverable Tracking: Use appropriate tools to track project deliverables and provide direction and support to project teams.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report project issues, task delays, and risks; facilitate timely resolutions and manage project changes effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Promote accountability for project quality and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.

  • Risk Management: Strong skills in identifying and managing project risks and issues.

  • Perform or ensure data cleansing tasks are completed on time
  • Complete data collection for manual/construction objects on time
  • Work together with IT counterparts to prepare value mappings
  • Create and maintain master lists if applicable for assigned objects
  • Provide business insights and information to technical teams for extraction and conversion from the legacy system(s) for assigned data objects
  • Work together with IT team and country Business Data Owners to identify objects in scope for country
  • Ensure data readiness & verify quality throughout data journey for assigned data objects
  • Verify that data is fit for purpose (incl. alignment with internal/external stakeholders)
  • Approve upload files before and after load for all assigned data objects (including formal approval)
  • Perform manual (type-in) data loads into target clients where applicable for assigned objects
  • Perform dual maintenance
  • Execution and approval of data verification scripts
  • Act as SPoC for assigned objects as part of defect management process during Hypercare

Overview:

This resource manages the day-to-day activities for the PMO of a strategic project and is member of the Project Management and Change Management Office (PMCO).

This resource is responsible to support the Project Director and Project Manager to successfully deliver a program comprising of various applications delivering a specific scope over multiple years. He/ She is to ensure the project is well planned, on-track, highlights and tracks issues across different functions immediately and escalates any potential risks early to avoid project failure. He/ She provides regular progress update to key stakeholders and management and escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the Project Management Plan which includes the project scope, project objectives, assumptions, critical success factors, project governance structure, contract/ vendor management, high level project schedule, deliverables, budget, risks, communication plan, issue management etc.

2. Manage day-to-day activities in the Program Management Office (PMO) such as project governance and tracking of milestones and completeness of documentation.

3. Perform timely update to stakeholders on project progress, issues, risks, resources, and budgets.

4. Secretariat for project, manage meeting coordination, preparation, record action items, decisions and ensure follow-up on assigned tasks.

5. Monitor and manage new risks and issues throughout the project implementation life cycle.

6. Report any new risk, issues and progress of mitigation/action to the user workgroup/project steering committee/project sponsor

7. Escalate new risks and issues, where necessary, to project steering committee/project sponsor for attention and resolution

8. Implement communication plan to ensure various stakeholders are updated and aligned

9. Manage project health and maintain project governance standards and guidelines.

10. Establish and enforce the change control process on requirements and perform impact assessment to budget, resource & schedule when there is change of scope

Requirements / Qualifications:

1. Experience with project management methodology and knowledge of the system development life cycle

2. Ability to think strategically; understand, interpret and apply policies as it applies to IT enablement; strong in analytical and problem-solving skills

3. Well-developed communication, consultation, negotiation and advocacy skills and a proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships with a variety of key stakeholders.

4. Ability to manage multiple project activities at the one time and excellent prioritization skills.

5. Ability to think strategically and report effectively.

**In this role, you're expected to:**
+ **Data Management:** Lead data requirement gathering and analyse data for onboarding from legacy provider to Citi accounting systems, identifying discrepancies and ensuring quality.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Rigorously participate in testing phases for fund Migrations, validating data integrity and process functionality. System Implementation: Assist with the setup of key fund accounting data and perform data loading and reconciliation of migrated funds within the Citi Fund Accounting system.
+ **Project Support & Communication:** Work closely with the Migration Project Manager to manage project plans, documentation, and controls. Communicate risks and issues promptly and participate in all required meetings.
+ **Operational Collaboration:** Collaborate with Fund Accounting Operations to investigate and resolve defects or breaks during migrations.
+ **Fund Accounting Expertise:** Proven experience in accounting, specifically within Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Fund Accounting Operations. This includes a thorough understanding of financial instruments such as Bonds, Equities, CDs/CP, Dividends, Deposits, Forward FX, Futures, and Options.
+ **Fund Accounting Systems:** Proficiency in various fund accounting systems, with the ability to identify and resolve inter-system discrepancies. Direct experience with or support of FIS-InvestOne Multifonds
+ **Data Migration & Integrity:** Demonstrated experience in data and fund accounting migration projects, including the ability to define and implement controls for data integrity and completeness.
+ **Tax Knowledge (Advantageous):** Familiarity with foreign tax treaties, withholding tax, and corporate tax is beneficial.
+ **Organizational & Analytical Skills:** Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
+ **Numerical Proficiency:** Strong numerical aptitude.
+ **Communication:** Excellent oral and written communication skills.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will help build and connect sustainable cloud-native systems to thrive in the cloud ecosystem. Services include: Strategy & Architecture; Assets & Industry Solutions; Engineering & Integration

  • Based on selection criteria set up driver tables for key migration objects to track data through migration process
  • Based on mapping rules, develop data migration transform jobs using SQL with adequate tracing
  • Establish exception handling through transform process
  • Set up store procedures in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL database to automate the migration pipeline
  • Setup and manage code versioning using CodeCommit in AWS
  • Follow best practice coding principles ensuring it is well structured and comments are included in code so it can be understood and diagnosed by another developer
  • Produce documentation outlining pipeline and key code elements to enable handover of code
  • Use AWS Data Migration Service to load data into target structure
  • Perform and monitor ETL activities for test loads in Non-Production environments
  • Receive feedback from peer review of code
  • Promptly raise questions/issues or escalate blockers regarding the mapping documents so rules can be clarified by the team
  • Clearly communicate and track progress within delivery tracking tools (ADO)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent

  • At least 7 years working experience as a Data Engineer; adept experience in data engineering principles and how to apply advanced data manipulation processes to various types of data.
  • Knowledge and experience of setting up and managing data engineering (ETL) and store procedures in AWS platform
  • Built SQL to perform transformation of data for either analytical reporting or migration purposes – can provide an example of how it was applied and how it was ensured to be performant
  • Experience in taking mapping rules to convert into code and then generating technical documentation
  • Experience of generating code that is performant across high volume datasets and tuning to ensure transformation can run within the cutover window
  • Experience in generating technical documentation
