Job Description

Supports the Senior Application Manager in executing initiatives aligned with the Division strategy. Manages assigned solution areas and oversees the roadmap for technology platforms or end-user solutions. Acts as the subject matter expert for key technologies and ensures implementations follow design principles that emphasize flexibility and modularity. Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the development, design, and implementation of new applications and enhancements to existing systems. Ensures effective and efficient delivery of IT solutions that align with strategic goals and deliver business value. Oversees planning and execution of projects, enforces software development lifecycle and quality standards, and ensures system delivery aligns with enterprise architecture. Maintains application availability and resolves issues promptly. Manages and optimizes team resources to meet business demands, while coaching and mentoring team members to build technical capabilities and drive performance. Accountable for solution portfolios, ensuring designs are scalable and meet performance expectations. Translates business requirements into system solutions and leads complex projects that support business growth. Develops software based on best practices, performs testing, supports user acceptance, and provides second-level production support. Handles medium to high complexity projects, collaborating with vendors and infrastructure teams. Leads key initiatives including automation, policy updates, product launches, and system enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency. Requirements

Degree in IT from an accredited institution. Master’s degree is preferred. 8-10 years of experience in IT application development environment, with 6-8 years in supervisory experience on the supported IT domain (Application solutioning on design and development) Sound experience in execution of IT projects with high level of expertise in system application and technology implementation delivery. Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team, internal & external stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Domain proficiency in insurance business and its operations including distribution channels modus operandi is essential. Able to work independently and highly self-motivated. Able to work with peers and other stakeholders, a team player. Technical skills required: ASP & VB.NET, Bootstrap, Telerik, web services development (json, soap), Oracle, SQL, Sybase, JAVA, Java Servlet 2.0, Window batch script; XCOM, SFTP, Crystal Report, Share Point, AEM (for future). This is a 12-month contract role with a possible extension. The work location is either in Jalan Ampang OR Bukit Bintang, Jalan Sultan Ismail.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled technical personnel to lead a team of developers in implementing a new web based (and mobile) application from ground up. The technical lead is required to be technically sound and experienced in planning and setting the proper directions and standards to implement a secured and robust application. The technical lead is also required to provide the relevant coaching and mentoring to the team of developers and ensuring quality delivery of the system. Technical Lead Responsibilities: Provide direct architectural and technology planning, problem-solving, coaching and guidance to project team. Leading and managing a team of developers in implementation (UI, DB, Core Engine) of a secured and robust front end application, which includes supporting the team in resolving technical issues and challenges. Collaborate and support architect and extended technical teams to ensure high quality solutions across other applications (interfaces). Work with project team to understand business requirements, project goals and identify appropriate technical solutions. Effective communication complex technical contents to non-technical audience, engage in constructive conversation with different stakeholders. Key Requirements: Vast experience in implementation of web based & mobile applications, Strong organizational and people management & communication skills. Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML 5, CSS 4 and JavaScript, jquery. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS 2.x, Node JS. Proficiency with server side languages such as Java 1.8, PHP framework and spring framework 5.x, hibernate 5.x, Struts 2.x. Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL 5.x, MongoDB and MS SQL Server 2017. Good to have knowledge on MQ mechanism and API integration. Good to have knowledge of UI/UX and ability to implement the canvas drawn on paper. Participating in the design and creation of scalable software Familiarity with common stacks Organizational skills Good to have knowledge of Selenium an UiPath automation tool
