AccountabilitiesPrimarily related to on-prem server support, routine user/system operations, and hybrid infrastructure:
- Monitor server environment health using tools like LogicMonitor.
- Log and triage incidents and service requests.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of server issues (e.g., CPU usage, Memory usage, Disk space, VM availability, backup status).
- Handle common service requests (e.g., password resets, access requests).
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 2 or Level 3 teams.
- Support patching for Windows OS and backup (Commvault, Veeam, Avamar) verification tasks under guidance.
- Follow change management processes for standard changes/emergency changes.
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation and update knowledge base where needed.
- Assist with daily reporting and shift handovers.

Junior Cloud Infrastructure
Location: Malaysia, KL
Work Setup: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)
- Brokering initiatives, cloud migration, system expansion, system refits, and cloud integrations with new and existing system.
- Design, present, develop and implement end-user or enterprise Cloud Service of significant complexity according to customer requirements in accordance with global standards and in line with Client Security standard.
- Consultancy for internal and client teams and key person for projects and initiatives (e.g. enabling new cloud service (AWS & Azure), service improvement, operations excellence, etc.).
- Collaborate daily with global team members and other IT teams to implement new capabilities
- Implement and maintain high quality documentation.
- Establish and recommend policies on system use and services; help define offerings, KPIs, monitoring, and overall management of the services.
- Travel occasionally to other client offices in ASPAC region.
- Review cloud infrastructure solution design and investigate on the feasibility according to client standards
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in system operation, application support or consulting role, with a focus on system/application server support & administration.
- Experienced on Linux sysadmin, skilled at troubleshooting system or network issues.
- Certifications and hands on Experienced on either AWS (prod), Azure (prod) and a plus with Openshift administration
- Good communication skills in Cantonese and English, written and oral. Technical writing skills are an advantage.
- Experienced on CI/CD pipeline configuration and administration
- Experienced on Cloud/on-prem Application Solution Design
- Experienced with enterprise systems monitoring; knowledge of Prometheus, Zabbix, or Nagios is a plus (not mandatory.)
- Experienced on automation (TerraForm/Ansible or similar tools like Puppet or Chef)
- Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes or Docker-based containers.
SKILLS
● Windows/Red Hat hands on experience. Linux skills or better, although certifications are not required.
● Extensive technical experience with middleware and JAVA based application development are great to have.
● Mandatory: Strong understanding of web technology, virtualization, container and cloud based technologies (e.g: Network Load Balancing, VMWare, Docker, AWS/Azure platform).
● Solid knowledge of various IT domains such as: servers, storage, network, middleware, IT Security, etc.
● Experience in IT platforms operations management.
● Experience in Cloud technologies implementation.
● Excellent Knowledge in Information System architecture.
● Proven working experience of Red Hat OpenShift: Containerization & Orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker is a big plus.
● Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code implementation is a plus.
● Knowledge of Agile methodologies (preferably scrum)

- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep and Cloudformation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
- Collaborate with development/ prohect teams to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet application, business and security needs
- Implement CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security measures following DevSecOps principles
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability and security, responding to incidents and alerts as necessary

Skills for Success
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

- Experience maintaining cloud infrastructure for production use cases with stringent service level standards and where downtime has a material impact on the business.
