About the job
The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, security, and management of the hotel’s technology infrastructure. This includes maintaining all systems and networks (PMS, POS, internet, security systems), ensuring data security, managing vendors, and supporting internal users. The role ensures that all hotel technology systems function efficiently to support operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing the hotel’s IT strategy in alignment with brand standards and business goals.
- Overseeing daily IT operations including system backups, patch management, and performance monitoring.
- Ensuring optimal functioning of all key systems including PMS, POS, accounting, HR, telephone, guest internet, IPTV, and building management systems.
- Maintaining and managing all hardware, software, and network infrastructure including servers, switches, Wi-Fi, and security systems.
- Supporting integration between various systems (e.g., PMS with CRM or POS).
- Coordinating with vendors and corporate IT on upgrades, migrations, and system rollouts.
- Implementing security measures to protect hotel systems and sensitive data (firewalls, antivirus, access controls).
- Monitoring vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and managing disaster recovery plans.
- Ensuring compliance with brand, legal, and data privacy regulations.
- Leading the IT helpdesk to support all departments with troubleshooting and technical assistance.
- Conducting system user training for staff on software, devices, and IT policies.
- Fostering a culture of digital efficiency and cybersecurity awareness.
- Managing IT vendors, contracts, and service agreements.
- Overseeing the IT budget, forecasting expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies to improve hotel operations.
- Leading or supporting property-level technology projects such as system implementations and renovations.
- Coordinating with corporate IT and third parties for system deployment and upgrades.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Strong technical knowledge in network administration, server systems (Windows/Linux), and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with IT security, cloud technologies, and system integration.
- Familiarity with hotel systems (Opera, MICROS, PABX, CCTV, Wi-Fi controllers, IPTV, etc.).
- Minimum 5–8 years of IT experience in hospitality, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

About The Job
The Director of Information Technology ( IT) is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, security, and management of the hotel’s technology infrastructure. As Director of Information Technology (IT), you will be responsible for the following duties:

We are seeking a results-oriented, entrepreneurial and highly professional Sales Strategy & Brand Solutions person for our business in Malaysia. The core responsibility would be to work with Brand and Agencies to deliver exceptional strategy presentations, proposals, and brand solutions to help marketers leverage the Tyroo CTV offerings to the fullest.
What you will do:
- Focus on driving growth across Malaysia Accounts with local agencies and direct clients.
- Communicate the value of Tyroo TV SSP audience buying platform by walking through detailed demonstrations of the product.
- Understand competitive differentiators in the fast-changing online advertising landscape.
- Be a trusted consultant to your clients across all the teams that touch those brands with the aim to accelerate the delivery of their objectives. You will do so by setting long-term objectives and roadmaps accordingly.
- Work closely with the Operations team to rapidly onboard new customers and grow existing advertiser patches, and with the Sales team to identify ways to grow current accounts.
- Become an expert on the use and best practices on the Tyroo TV SSP platform and offer insights to clients on how to improve campaigns.
- Provide continual training to clients of all levels from traders to heads of departments as new features are added to Tyroo TV SSP.
- Host meetings with people of influence on the account irrespective of the function and level.
- Work with Product Management to help define features and drive enhancements to the Tyroo TV SSP and any other auxiliary element where synergies can be created (insights, measurement, billing, marketing, innovation).
What you bring to the table:
- 5-7+ years of digital advertising experience and client-facing experience required.
- Proven track record of growing accounts by forging a strong relationship with clients, understanding their objectives and recommending best strategies.
- Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience with driving projects requiring stakeholders from different disciplines to drive output at pace.
- Expertise in working with RTB, DSPs, ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and other optimization platforms is a plus.
- Experience in Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables, chart-making.
- Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up environment.
