The Databricks Solution Architect is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. This individual will translate business strategy into technical architecture, guide development teams, and ensure all data solutions align with enterprise standards for governance, security, and cost optimization.
What you'll do:
* Architectural Leadership: Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture and roadmap for the enterprise data platform on Databricks, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
* Lakehouse Design: Design and champion the implementation of the Lakehouse architecture utilizing Delta Lake, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Databricks SQL Warehouse to support all data, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.
* Data Governance & Security: Architect and enforce enterprise-level data governance, security, and access control policies using Unity Catalog (e.g., fine-grained access, lineage tracking, auditing).
* Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of Databricks Engineers. Conduct architectural reviews, code audits, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
* Performance and Cost Optimization: Define strategies for, and lead, major performance tuning and cost optimization initiatives across all Databricks workloads, clusters, and Delta Lake storage.
* Cloud Integration: Lead the integration of Databricks with core cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and other enterprise systems (e.g., data catalogs, BI tools, ML platforms).
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with executive stakeholders, data scientists, and business leaders to understand complex requirements and translate them into robust, scalable technical designs and solution blueprints.
* DataOps and Automation Strategy: Define the DevOps/DataOps strategy for the Databricks environment, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Databricks Asset Bundles.
* Innovation: Evaluate new Databricks features, open-source technologies (e.g., MLflow), and industry trends to drive continuous platform improvement and competitive advantage.
Required Skills & Experience:
* (10)+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related senior technical role.
* (5)+ years of deep, hands-on experience designing and implementing large-scale data solutions on the Databricks Platform.
* Expertise in Lakehouse Architecture, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and performance tuning techniques.
* Proven experience implementing Databricks Unity Catalog for centralized governance.
* Deep proficiency in Python/PySpark or Scala and advanced SQL.
* Extensive experience with one major cloud platform and its security and data services.
* Strong experience with data modeling (dimensional, data vault) and data warehouse concepts.
* Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, document architectural designs, and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
* Experience with real-time/streaming data architectures (Structured Streaming).
* Experience with MLOps practices, including MLflow for model lifecycle management.
* Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and automated CI/CD for Databricks.
* Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional or equivalent cloud architecture certification.

**Role: Cloud Resiliency Architect**
**Location: KL, Malaysia**
**Overview**
The Cloud Resiliency Architect will support customers through focused technical engagements aimed at improving the reliability, continuity, and recoverability of their cloud environments.
The architect will combine deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure with a strong command of disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resiliency processes, including the design and evaluation of Major Incident Response Plans (MIRPs).
This role requires the ability to assess both cloud infrastructure and resiliency processes end-to-end, identifying risks, aligning to best practices, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations that strengthen the customer's ability to withstand and recover from disruptions.
**Key responsibilities**
+ Assess the resiliency posture of customer environments from both technical and operational perspectives.
+ Evaluate the effectiveness of disaster recovery (DR) plans, business continuity (BC) strategies, and Major Incident Response Plans (MIRPs).
+ Conduct in-depth technical analysis of cloud infrastructure, application dependencies, observability configurations, and failover capabilities.
+ Review and enhance MIRPs, including escalation protocols, incident communication plans, recovery sequencing, and impact containment strategies.
+ Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and single points of failure across workloads and operational processes.
+ Recommend improvements aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework, SRE principles, and ITIL practices.
+ Engage customer teams to understand RTO/RPO targets, recovery workflows, and coordination models for major incidents.
+ Deliver professional, customer-facing documentation summarizing technical findings and process maturity recommendations.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas:
+ Deep experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) design in Microsoft Azure.
+ Solid understanding of Azure architecture, including infrastructure, Availability Zones, backup/recovery, and monitoring services.
+ Familiarity with cloud-native resiliency patterns and site reliability engineering (SRE) methods.
+ Proven ability to assess and design effective Major Incident Response Plans (MIRPs) that align with operational SLAs and business risk tolerances.
+ Experience in business continuity planning, incident response coordination, and process maturity assessments.
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical and executive stakeholders.
+ Background in technical consulting or assessment-based delivery engagements.
**Preferred qualifications**
+ Experience contributing to or leading the development of enterprise-wide MIRP and DR testing programs.
+ Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or SOC 2 Type II in the context of operational resilience.
+ Prior experience supporting regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) with stringent uptime, data protection, or continuity mandates.
+ Hands-on experience with Azure BCDR tools such as Azure Site Recovery, Backup Vaults, Azure Automation, or Service Health Alerts.
+ Working knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments and related resiliency implications.
+ Familiarity with chaos engineering or resilience testing tools and practices.
+ Experience integrating DevOps pipelines with resiliency validation steps (e.g., backup validation, DR simulation, alerting thresholds).
+ Exposure to incident simulation platforms, runbook automation, or response coordination tooling (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel , ServiceNow).

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
The Finance Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing global automation solutions in Oracle modules relating to Finance. They should have the ability to design solutions for outside financial software and integrate to Oracle. Other responsibilities and requirements of this position include:
+ Experience designing, configuring, and testing of solutions within Oracle applications.
