As a Standard Chartered Insurance Specialist, you’ll be responsible for offering comprehensive bancassurance advice tailored to client needs supporting the Affluent Distribution, Business Banking, and Personal Banking in driving insurance sales. You'll provide exceptional customer service with the provision of financial solutions while managing operational risk and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Selling a variety of Bancassurance life insurance products to existing and potential bank customers.
• Offering personalized financial advice based on customer needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Insurance Service Providers (ISP) to ensure seamless execution of sales and services activities.
• Planning and executing bancassurance sales activities.
• Developing a strong understanding of bancassurance products.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and other key metrics as outlined in the scorecard.
• Assist in handling client inquiries and resolving issues related to insurance products.
• Adhere to Wealth Solution policies and procedures governing insurance transactions.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation for all sales transactions in compliance with internal guideline and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Minimum banking sales experience of 2 years with a proven track record of results.
• Knowledge and sales experience in Life Insurance are essential. Experience in other wealth products is an added advantage.
• Possess PCE/ CEILLI/ TBE/ FIMM licenses before officially starting the role
• Strong sales drive.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to all parties.
• Collaborative team player with a strong performance orientation and willingness to travel.

Understanding of insurance financial fundamentals and their impact on underwriting decisions. Actuarial fundamentals.

Ability to understand loss trends and ratemaking. Ability to quantify risk based on experience history and forecasting methods. Marketing and communications.

Ability to sell and negotiate to achieve bottom line profitability for the Company. Ability to base communications on strategic thinking. Ability to manage producer strategy. Systems and programs.

Ability to use systems and software programs needed to conduct daily business. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include but are not limited to: Within established business plans and assigned authority, select, analyse, and underwrite individual risks utilizing corporate pricing and reinsurance techniques to obtain desired results Negotiate facultative reinsurance on accounts where needed Manage a renewable book of business offering strategic underwriting guidance including rate/terms/deductibles Monitor results of the overall book of business assigned and recommend corrective action as necessary to insure retention of desirable accounts Provide quality and timely input on assigned projects to meet the Company’s needs in the changing market and to support profitable growth Participate in audits and/or underwriting meetings as required
