Job Description:

1. Process Development & Optimization:

• Develop, optimize, and monitor injection molding processes to ensure high-quality production.
  
• Set up and adjust molding parameters to achieve optimal performance, cycle times, and product quality.
  

2. Medical Plastics Expertise:

• Apply your expertise in medical plastics to ensure that all injection molding processes meet the stringent requirements for medical-grade products.
  
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  

3. Mold Setup & Maintenance:

• Oversee the installation, setup, and maintenance of injection molds.
  
• Work closely with tooling engineers to ensure molds are properly designed and maintained for optimal performance.
  

4. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to molding defects, machine performance, and process variations.
  
• Implement corrective actions to address process inefficiencies and product non-conformities.
  

5. Process Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation of molding processes, parameter settings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  
• Ensure that all changes to processes are documented and communicated effectively.
  
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle time, minimizing scrap, and enhancing overall process efficiency.
  
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in injection molding technology and implement best practices.
  

7. Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure that all molded products meet or exceed quality standards.
  
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify the quality and consistency of molded parts.
  
• Work closely with production, quality, and tooling teams to support new product launches and ongoing production.
  
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators and technicians on best practices in injection molding.
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
  
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding, particularly within the plastic manufacturing industry.
  
• Expertise in medical plastics is a significant advantage.
  
• Proficiency in using injection molding machines and related software.
  
• Fluent in Mandarin, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  
• Strong understanding of injection molding processes, mold design, and material properties

We are looking for a multi-skilled and hands-on Injection Molding & Maintenance Engineer to support daily production operations and ensure optimal performance of injection molding equipment, molds, and supporting systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of injection molding processes, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to lead or support continuous improvement and maintenance initiatives.

We're currently hiring for the following positions:

• Mold Maintenance & Repair Engineer
• Perform mold setup and changeover on injection molding machines (130T–650T: Victor/Taichung, Demag, Yizumi, FCS dual-color).
• Operate overhead crane (3T and above) for safe mold handling.
• Prepare machines and materials for production start-up, including thermoplastic resins (PC, ABS, PBT, PA + glass fiber).
• Adjust and optimize process parameters to ensure product quality and minimize cycle time.
• Identify and resolve molding defects through parameter tuning and root cause analysis.

2. Mold Maintenance & Repair

• Conduct routine mold inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot mold-related problems during production and take corrective actions.
• Document all maintenance work, breakdowns, and improvements accurately.
• Coordinate with external mold repair vendors when needed.

3. Equipment Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment (robots, chillers, dryers, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and suggest improvements for equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams for machine upgrades or modifications.

4. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze recurring issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Contribute to cycle time reduction, material waste minimization, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Support trials for new molds, materials, and automation systems.
• Participate in quality improvement and cost-saving projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in injection molding operations.
• Strong understanding of thermoplastic resin behavior, tooling, and processing.
• Proficient in Minitab, process data interpretation, and quality tools (preferred).
• High Education/Diploma or above in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or relevant engineering field.
• Ability to communicate effectively, especially in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage due to supplier and team communication needs.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in measurement/quality in a manufacturing environment
