We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team during the pre-construction and construction phases of our data center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and setting up the IT infrastructure and server room, with a strong emphasis on cable layouts, installing switches, racks, and other components. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure management and the ability to work without the proper integration of MEP systems. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Construction Planning: Assess the specific needs of the data center, including the number of servers, storage requirements, and future expansion plans. Develop and deploy cable layouts and infrastructure to support IT equipment, ensuring efficient and organized cabling. Plan and manage the installation of cable trays, ensuring proper bending radius and fill ratio. Server Room Setup: Oversee the installation of hardware, including switches, racks, and other server room components. Set up the server room from scratch, ensuring all components are properly installed without relying on the integration of MEP systems. Ensure proper cable management and organization within the server room. Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with the construction team to ensure seamless integration of project requirements. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and IT specialists, to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and on schedule. Compliance and Security: Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Maintain familiarity with security tools and practices relevant to physical infrastructure. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on hardware infrastructure and cabling. Strong knowledge of cable management, including the installation of cable trays and maintaining proper bending radius and fill ratio. Experience with designing cable layouts and setting up server rooms from scratch. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., RCDD, BICSI) are a plus.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor/Master Degree preferably in IT related field 10+ years of related experience including comprehensive experience in design and operating complex IT systems, managing information systems work of an organisation, and supervisory/administrative role, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs) .
• Strong experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V/ Promox).
• Strong knowledge with backup policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or equivalent.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MSSQL.

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for cloud environment
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices, tools, and methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and risk management

• Work with finance teams to ensure accurate cloud budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback models
• Optimize storage, networking, and computing costs without impacting performance
• Leverage FinOps tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Alibaba Cloud Cost Center, etc.)

Security and Compliance

• Collaborate with DevOps and Security team to manage and optimize infrastructure resources and ensure application of industry standard security
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement secure infrastructure architectures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data
• Ensuring compliance with security, audits and regulatory requirements

Incident Response and Troubleshooting

• Collaborate with different functional teams to address incidents and restore services quickly. Investigate and resolve incidents, apply root cause analysis to prevent recurrence

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network or related field
• Proven 3 experience in a Cloud Network or Cloud Infrastructure role
• Strong experience in site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture or a similar role.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.

The Role

As a Cloud & Digital Workplace Analyst, you will provide first-line support for virtual servers and Microsoft Azure environments. The Role

Accountabilities

Primarily related to on-prem server support, routine user/system operations, and hybrid infrastructure:

• Monitor server environment health using tools like LogicMonitor.
• Log and triage incidents and service requests.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of server issues (e.g., CPU usage, Memory usage, Disk space, VM availability, backup status).
• Handle common service requests (e.g., password resets, access requests).
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 2 or Level 3 teams.
• Support patching for Windows OS and backup (Commvault, Veeam, Avamar) verification tasks under guidance.
• Follow change management processes for standard changes/emergency changes.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation and update knowledge base where needed.
• Assist with daily reporting and shift handovers.

Focused on Azure-specific monitoring, troubleshooting, and governance tasks:

• Monitor Azure environment health using tools like Azure Monitor.

• Support patching and backup verification tasks under guidance.

Your Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure roles.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Azure portal, and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
• Understanding of patching, backups (Commvault, Veeam, Avamar), and system monitoring.
• Willingness to learn scripting and automation (PowerShell/Azure CLI).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, AZ-900, AZ-104, ITIL Foundation, VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Endpoint Administrator (MD-102), Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals (MS-900)) are a plus.
