Job Responsibilities

Review and propose new requests for infrastructure demands for users to determine the validity following the company policy, and provide effective suggestions and recommendations to improve business productivity. RFI or RFP to be prepared for vendor proposal and solutions recommendations, evaluated with the key business users. Ensure involvement of the infrastructure team in the projects handling new store openings, closures, and renovation projects is coordinated effectively. Responsible and accountable for network security, actively review, monitor, and improve the network infrastructure security and its policies, undertake scheduled preventive and service improvement checks. Accountable for all changes in system environment, including hardware, firmware, and operating system, that such changes to lead in a controlled and auditable manner. Maintain related servers, network switches, and their related components inventory, life-cycle management, and related documentation. Ensure SLA is fulfilled and adhere to the business operation hours to provide support and availability covering connectivity, servers, POS, and PC uptime. To lead by example, the role must have strong knowledge in technical and could work hands-on and diagnose the cause, and provide the remediation plan together with the reporting team. Manage all contract renewals on time. Ability to negotiate cost reduction plan, uplift SLA, and provide value adds to the business for further improvements. Develop and maintain SOPs & User Guides to control the operation process. Provide technical expertise and guidelines to the subordinates in their daily job executions. This includes coaching and guiding the team to achieve the goals. Working closely with the peers' Application team to implement improvements to create process efficiency. Perform periodic maintenance to ensure any preventive measures are taken and to ensure high availability solutions are provided. Develop a proactive analysis of capacity planning, performance upgrade plan presented timely manner. Monitor and manage high-priority incidents for closure. Monitor the 2nd Tier Support via the Helpdesk team to structure and guide all the support requests and incident requests efficiently. Monitor and plan the department's expenses to ensure the procurement process and upgrade plans are adhered to according to the business plan. Job Requirements

Degree qualified in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent. Experience hands-on with the Windows Server operating and configuration environment. Deep knowledge in managing the VMware and Hyper-V setups and configuration management. Deep knowledge in managing Storage Management, such as VNX, ExtremIO, and EqualLogic storage types. Well-experienced in configuring and setting up Network switches, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 VLAN setups. Experience in managing and configuring LANs, WANs, WLANs, and VPNs. Knowledge in administering databases, including setup and configuration of Microsoft SQL and MySQL. Experience in managing infrastructures in the Google Cloud platform and Microsoft Azure. Minimum 5 to 10 years of IT Infrastructure experience, hands-on and management experience. Experience and knowledge in Navision ERP and Dynamics 365 is an advantage. Possess strong analytical thinking and fast problem-solving skills. Willing to travel abroad based on business request. Energetic and highly self-motivated. You are part of the Vanderlande Value Office team, providing 2nd level support and specific technical expertise to customers and colleagues in the APAC region, reporting to the LCS Director SEA & Head of Value Office in Kuala Lumpur. Profile

Identify problems and perform root cause analysis of IT infrastructure in Vanderlande baggage handling systems, in close collaboration with other teams. Review system and application logs to trace issues and gather information for analysis. Develop and maintain customer-specific validation test processes and reports for change control log. Triage all events reported and maintain incident reports. Troubleshoot network related problems on WIFI, cabling, switches, routers, firewalls and perform updates/upgrades. Troubleshoot hardware related problems on servers, clients and (field) peripherals and perform updates/upgrades. Troubleshoot hardware related problems on Storage Area Networks including HP 3PAR, Primera, Alletra and perform updates/upgrades. Troubleshoot virtualisation related problems on VMWare including VMWare-HA, vSAN, backup/recovery with Veeam and perform updates. Troubleshoot operating system issues on Linux including Linux-HA clustering ("legacy"), analyse logging, free disk space, recovery of files and perform updates. Troubleshoot operating system issues on Windows including Active Directory services, analyse logging, free disk space, recovery of files and perform updates. Troubleshoot closed circuit television systems including cameras, video management system and/or storage and perform updates. Can use IT monitoring tool to assess the health of the IT infrastructure and its software, is able to fine-tune monitoring and add checks/perform updates. Can assess the security of the environment by analysing system/firewall logging, performing antivirus updates, perform vulnerability assessments and patch outcome. Deploy and maintain IT Monitoring Solutions. Support and coordinate activities to update and upgrade live environments. Support the implementation of new service agreements. Support and train local support teams to strengthen their capabilities and toolsets. Advise the customer on actions to minimize equipment downtime. Planning and delivering preventive maintenance tasks & assigned change tasks (back-ups, patch execution, etc.) Creating documentation such as manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, work instructions and communication drawings Work with other team members, Service Desks, and customer teams to continuously improve our IT solutions and standards.
