Job roles and responsibilities:
Process/Mechanical engineering background:
1. Working with CM to design and layout from SMT to FATP line by applying lean and Six
Sigma, drive cost and cycle time reduction through line balancing, and line automation.
2. Develop manufacturing processes at the factory and drive line qualifications
3. Knowledge of assembly process, ability to create assembly instructions, and engineering
changes (ECO/MCO/Concession) for NPI and MP projects
4. DFM review and analysis with CM, and capable to provide suggestions to R&D for design
optimization
5. Proven technical support to the production line and handle problems that happen in
production line promptly, and be able to provide proposals and action/mitigation plans
Quality background:
1. Handling quality related issues, capable of improving quality standard at CM
2. Drive for yield improvement, gate review and approval
3. FAI/FTO check and approve
4. Preparation of new product process documents (such as flowchart, SOP, PFME, etc. )
5. Lead the trial production and problem solving of the new products at each stage mainly
from PVT transfer to MP
6. Understanding of quality management systems

Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and production cycles to improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, waste, and non-value-added activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
2. Line Balancing & Capacity Planning

- Identify cost-saving opportunities by reducing material waste, labor inefficiencies, and cycle time variations.
- Work with procurement and materials teams to evaluate alternative materials or suppliers for cost-effectiveness.
- Develop labor and machine efficiency models to support budgeting and cost analysis.
5. New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
- Assist in NPI process development, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews with engineering teams.
- Establish first article and pilot run evaluations to validate new processes before full-scale production.
6. Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
- Lead Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, and lean transformation initiatives.
- Train operators and engineers on Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), FPY (First Pass Yield), and scrap rates for improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing optimization, or process improvement (preferably in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment).
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with time studies, work measurement, and line balancing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other factory layout design software.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for production planning and process control.
- Knowledge of SMT, PCB assembly, and final product assembly processes.

As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce operational cost, and improve performance in key constraint areas. You will be empowered to drive production stabilization efforts across the organization by applying your industrial engineering expertise, lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools.
Where you come in:
- Develop optimal material flow from incoming, through warehouse, kitting, assembly and onto packaging with the application of Lean tools and continually monitor to ensure the best possible manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate business and engineering solutions to modify or improve existing production and processing methods (e.g., minimizing cycle time, elimination of redundant activities, assessing appropriate place to perform tasks, evaluating storage and throughput capacity).
- Lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constraint areas.
- Develop, maintain, and validate manufacturing metric in terms of equipment cycle time and run rate per standard and drive productivity improvement for better cost and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collect operational data (cycle times, defect rates, downtime logs, etc.) and analyze trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Perform manning ratio analysis and compute optimal headcount requirement to improve manufacturing cost and efficiency.
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain equipment capacity planning. Support short range capacity planning and lead mid to long range capacity planning activities via capacity modeling and simulation to maximize utilization.
- Implement data driven continuous improvement project for Capex avoidance and capital efficiency and coordinate capital expenditure request, approval process & track delivery status.

- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related working experience in a manufacturing environment.
