The Role

We seek a candidate to design layouts for digital and analog circuits using industry-leading CAD tools and cutting-edge foundry technology. Examples include PLL, DLL, VCO, DAC, current regulators, high-speed differential signaling, droop detection, and die crack monitoring. Proficiency in 2D layout design with visualization in 3D space is essential. Knowledge of CMOS transistor-level digital and analog circuitry is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Layout of digital and analog building blocks with transistor-level components.
• Design of analog macros, power pads, and I/O pads.
• Collaborate with analog designers on floorplanning, power grid, and signal flow.
• Perform physical and electrical verification (DRC, LVS, EM/IR, ERC, PERC, ESD, latch-up).
• Create blackbox models for other design flow groups.

Preferred Experience

• Deep knowledge of CMOS circuit theory.
• Effective communication with cross-functional teams regarding layout specifications.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor Calibre tools.
• At least 5 years of relevant analog layout experience.
• Knowledge of chip integration and ESD concepts is a plus.
• Experience with LVS, DRC, ERC, ANT, ESD, latch-up, EMIR, and reliability testing.
• Understanding of signal and clock shielding techniques.
• Teamwork skills.

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Engineering or related field.

Examples of layouts designed by our team include Phase Locked Loop (PLL), Delay Locked Loop (DLL), Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO), Digital to Analog Converter (DAC), Current Regulator, High-Speed Differential Signaling circuitry, Droop Detect, and Die Crack Monitor. Proficiency in 2D layout design with the ability to visualize in 3D space is ideal. Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry at the CMOS transistor level is useful.
