Overall responsibility for coordinating and managing all Import functionality tasks for shipments destined to Australia.
The Imports Operations Clerk will ensure all international shipments are reported to local Australian Border Force / Quarantine authorities and Custom Brokers for clearance and will interact with all other Australian Operations Department for communication on clearance and provide the authority to deliver. This role involves ensuring compliance with customs regulations, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication between internal departments and external partners to ensure efficient compliant import operations.

- Prepare and process import documentation, including customs invoices, House Air Waybil, Master Air Waybil.
- Report shipment details to Australian Customs and Quarantine and airlines via Expedient or Incident Command Systems.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import laws, and company policies throughout the import process.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, other World Courier Offices and departments and to facilitate timely and accurate customs clearance of imported goods.
- Monitor shipment status and address any issues related to delays, discrepancies, or customs holds, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, including filing and tracking documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate payment of import duties, taxes, and freight charges.
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for import processes.

- Manage and maintain global dashboards related to customs information, including import declaration data, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) savings, and trade compliance KPIs.
- Coordinate with regional leads and stakeholders globally-including APAC, Europe, South America, and North America-to collect and validate data.
- Collect data and collaborate with the dashboard owner to build and enhance data visualizations.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with customs regulations, HS Codes, and trade agreements, particularly in free trade zones and for regulated goods (e.g., chemicals).
- Collaborate closely with customs brokers and vendors to monitor performance and compliance.
- Utilize SAP Master Data and Global Trade System extensively in daily operations.
Profile
A successful Customs Compliance & Data Management professional should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with SAP, specifically Master Data and Global Trade System.
- Strong knowledge of customs and foreign trade regulations in a global context.
- Proven experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment.
- Background in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of trade agreements and free trade zones, including familiarity with specific HS codes for hazardous or chemical products.

We are looking for a Trade Compliance Executive (Halal) to carry out the responsibilities below:
1) To ensure storage and handling of Halal products are done in accordance with Halal standards (regular audits, inspections, and certifications to maintain Halal integrity).
2) To ensure that transportation adn distribution are handled and delivered in a manner that maintains their Halal integrity. (working closely with logistics providers to ensure compliance with Halal requirements throughout the supply chain).
3) To coordinate with certification bodies, preparing necessary documentation, and managing the certification renewal process.
4) To provide training and education to employees on Halal principles, guidelines, and best practices.
5) To stay up to date with relevant Halal regulations and guidelines, both locally and internationally.
6) Responsible for continuously improving and enhancing the Physical Logistic processes and systems.
Key Experiences
- Preferable to have basic knowledge on the Halal in Physical Logistic.
- Experience in managing the Halal certification process, including understanding the requirements, documentation, and audits necessary for obtaining and maintaining Halal certification would be additional advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external parties.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Fresh graduate with a degree / experiences in Halal compliance are welcome to apply.
