Responsibilities

Summary:

  • Responsible to design, implement and configure IP, TDM and SIP related Network solutions to enable service outcome as expected for the solution build.
  • Work with Project Management and internal teams as integral team to support IPC data/voice service delivery for customers and involve in coding routines for testing and automation.
  • Maintain up to date on documentation related to implementation design as part of Project life-cycle management.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage IP deliverables covering Ethernet L2/L3, Optical and SIP based network solution.
  • Proficient in the Configuration, Implementation and Testing phases of Ethernet and Optical equipment to ensure service working as per expected on solution build and outcome.
  • Proactively and accurately update all Test-and-Turn-up (TNT) tasks in the IPC documentation database, (Metasolv) ensuring all service information and schematics are correctly input and verified accordingly to solution implemented.
  • Work with project team and assist with technical advice on the solution relating to implementation and testing.
  • Address service delivery issues impacting TNT to the team management.
  • Work with customer to conduct service test and activation, resolve technical interconnection issues to enable service success.
  • Being an integral part of the team that strives towards achieving best business practice for the company.
  • Work with cross functional teams both internal and external to manage dependencies to ensure project delivery
  • Ability to document processes with a view to owning processes and procedure.
  • Adaptive to project timelines in the service implementation and change, may require working on weekend subject to project progress.
  • Tasks may include coding routine for Hosting and DevOps automation.
  • To report weekly on all project progress and status to management,

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Tertiary education, in a Network technology-based subject,
  • Network professional certification CCNP and above or equivalent is desirable.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Telecommunication field with extensive knowledge in a wide portfolio of technology and products across IP, SIP, SDH, Optical DWDM and TDM platforms
  • At least 3 years of experience in Hosting and DevOps related role is desirable.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and team player. Role requires to interact and working closely with cross functional teams both internal and external to meet delivery objectives.
  • Resourceful and good initiative in resolving complex issues relating to role support.
  • Absolute proactive approach to network design forethought and planning.
  • Previous experience providing services to customer within the financial services industry
  • Possess the ability to self-manage, work within a regionally diverse team
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Service Management, ITIL certification is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through is required

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Implementation Support team is part of the Guidewire Global Support organization, delivering service to all Guidewire core application implementation efforts both in the Guidewire Cloud and on-premise. Implementation Support acts as the liaison between those implementing Guidewire software for our customers and the extensive internal Guidewire ecosystems including Product Development.

As an Implementation Support Architect you may be assigned responsibility for a small number of product implementations, establishing regular communication and reporting on outstanding issues. You will be working with any number of internal teams such as Professional Services, Product Development team as well as consulting partners. You will also be required to assist in developing solution frame-works for complex customer requirements. The successful Implementation Architect is expected to work closely with our implementation teams while making sure that our product management and engineering staff is kept abreast of product strengths and weaknesses. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and strong collaboration skills. Occasional travel to the Guidewire home office is required.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Guidewire Implementation Support Architect is primarily responsible for providing technical support to Guidewire customers, internal Professional Services consultants, and consulting partners using Guidewire products.

Develop and maintain deep expertise in Guidewire’s suite of products

Troubleshooting and resolution of incoming support cases. This includes identifying root causes of issues, providing workarounds or solutions, and collaborating with other teams to resolve complex problems.

Communicate with customers and ensure that they receive timely and accurate updates on the status of their support requests. This includes providing clear and concise technical explanations to both non-technical customers as well as certified technical consultants while managing customer expectations.

Create and maintain knowledge articles related to the resolution of customer-reported problems with Guidewire products.

Identify areas for service improvement, and collaborate with other teams to implement changes that improve the customer experience.

Manage and resolve incidents within contractual service-level objectives (SLOs). This includes coordination with other teams and stakeholders, and providing timely updates to customers.

Share your technical knowledge and expertise with other team members, and contribute to the development of team training materials and processes.

Prioritizing and escalating customer issues appropriately

Required Skills And Experience

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience providing enterprise application software support in Java for a B2B software company.
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for how to resolve an issue.
  • Ability to read the stack traces and review the application code.
  • Exposure to broad technical skills such as Java development, web UI (design and development), XML, application architecture
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience in documenting technical solutions (preferably in the form of KCS articles)

The Implementation Support team is part of the Guidewire Global Support organization, delivering service to all Guidewire core application implementation efforts both in the Guidewire Cloud and on-premise. Implementation Support acts as the liaison between those implementing Guidewire software for our customers and the extensive internal Guidewire ecosystems including Product Development.

As an Implementation Support Architect you may be assigned responsibility for a small number of product implementations, establishing regular communication and reporting on outstanding issues. You will be working with any number of internal teams such as Professional Services, Product Development team as well as consulting partners. You will also be required to assist in developing solution frame-works for complex customer requirements. The successful Implementation Architect is expected to work closely with our implementation teams while making sure that our product management and engineering staff is kept abreast of product strengths and weaknesses. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and strong collaboration skills. Occasional travel to the Guidewire home office is required.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Guidewire Implementation Support Architect is primarily responsible for providing technical support to Guidewire customers, internal Professional Services consultants, and consulting partners using Guidewire products.

Develop and maintain deep expertise in Guidewire’s suite of products

Troubleshooting and resolution of incoming support cases. This includes identifying root causes of issues, providing workarounds or solutions, and collaborating with other teams to resolve complex problems.

Communicate with customers and ensure that they receive timely and accurate updates on the status of their support requests. This includes providing clear and concise technical explanations to both non-technical customers as well as certified technical consultants while managing customer expectations.

Create and maintain knowledge articles related to the resolution of customer-reported problems with Guidewire products.

Identify areas for service improvement, and collaborate with other teams to implement changes that improve the customer experience.

Manage and resolve incidents within contractual service-level objectives (SLOs). This includes coordination with other teams and stakeholders, and providing timely updates to customers.

Share your technical knowledge and expertise with other team members, and contribute to the development of team training materials and processes.

Required Skills And Experience

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. 3+ years of work experience providing enterprise application software support in Java for a B2B software company. Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for how to resolve an issue. Ability to read the stack traces and review the application code. Exposure to broad technical skills such as Java development, web UI (design and development), XML, application architecture Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL Experience in documenting technical solutions (preferably in the form of KCS articles)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the pre-implementation and sales process by negotiating with various stake holders such as IT security teams to ensure the acceptance of the BD Informatics solutions into the customers IT environment.

  • Collaborate with all the relevant internal and external stakeholders for implementation success including:

  • Customer stakeholders from the laboratory or other institution, IT / IHIS / LIS

  • Project Manager

  • Field Service Engineers

  • Product Specialists

  • Technical Solutions Manager

  • Lab Automation Manager

  • Support the implementation & customization of BD Informatics (software) :

  • Integrating the BD Informatics solution into the customers’ IT infrastructure.

  • Interfacing with BD Diagnostics instruments.

  • Connectivity to the customer’s existing environment and third-party software systems. i.e. HIS, LIS connectivity in hospital or lab setting.

  • Majority of hands-on time working with customers will be IT focused, working with Laboratory and Hospital IT departments to co-ordinate their provision of the server and network infrastructure required to support the BD informatics solution.

  • Support implementation activities including:

  • Engage with customer stake holders to ensure the technical IT requirements for BD Informatics products are met prior to implementation. This includes network port activation, VLAN/LAN configuration, firewall whitelisting, AV whitelisting, Virtual Server and SQL Server provisioning.

  • Applications installation and configuration.

  • Establishing connectivity of BD Informatics with all BDIDS instruments and hospital / laboratory informatics systems.

  • Ensure redundancies are in place to maximize customer up time such as database backups, application file backups and VM snapshots.

  • Provide support for customer (HL7, ASTM and CSV) interface development with BD informatics solutions.

  • Secondary support role behind country teams to BD customers in providing services such as:

  • Remote technical assistance to customers during system down and / or system malfunction.

  • Perform software updates and upgrades as required.

  • Perform scheduled security patching as required.

  • Perform database management activities as required.

  • Escalate system defects or requests for change.

  • Training and upskilling capabilities of all CASAJ country engineering and informatics specialists.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Networking and Cybersecurity or closely related technical discipline.

  • Previous experience preferred in medical technology, middleware devices, PC / IT knowledge, networking and interface protocols, experience in a hospital setting supporting IT infrastructure such as servers, virtual machines and networking.

  • Previous experience deploying informatics solutions across a wide area network for large organization with multiple sites.

  • In depth knowledge of Information Systems such as:

  • Virtual machine management and deployment.

  • Advanced TCP/IP networking, VLAN and switch configuration.

  • Microsoft SQL database server administration

  • Working knowledge of current Cybersecurity standards

  • Firewall management.

  • Domain administration, Group Policy admin, DNS config, Microsoft Server OS

  • Browser configuration and internet connectivity configuration (Preferred)

  • HTTPS, SSL and TLS working knowledge. (Preferred)

  • HL7 and ASTM 1394 interfacing experience. (Preferred)

  • Possess technical skills and knowledge with communication interface protocols, cabling & networking, data stream analysis and troubleshooting

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Visio, Excel, Project)

  • Experience in web application and API development. ASP.NET

  • Microsoft IIS application configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate experience with project management and complex change management initiatives.

**Job Description Summary**
Primary scope of the role involves providing remote IT and Informatics technical support to direct customers and country teams, which includes field service, local senior engineers, applications and project / solutions specialists. He/She will be expected to function as the 1st line IT technical support on all the following elements but not limited to customer server architecture, LIS configuration, implementation and installation, troubleshooting and ongoing support, updates and upgrades.
Secondary aspects of the role will include extending similar scope of support within the CASAJ region and be a part of a regional team and center of excellence for IT and Informatics tech support hub.
In addition, this role will require of the engineer to form a strong partnership with the CASAJ Region Informatics Service Specialist in all matters relating to tech escalations to Global Engineering teams as well as training and communication / dissemination of technical and related IT / engineering instructions going into the countries. He / She will also function as the primary point of contact to Lab or Hospital LIS Administrators, Networking Teams, IT Security Teams and Desktop Support Teams; to address all questions and to provide support for all matters relating to IT/LIS.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the pre-implementation and sales process by negotiating with various stake holders such as IT security teams to ensure the acceptance of the BD Informatics solutions into the customers IT environment.
+ Collaborate with all the relevant internal and external stakeholders for implementation success including:
+ Customer stakeholders from the laboratory or other institution, IT / IHIS / LIS
+ Project Manager
+ Field Service Engineers
+ Product Specialists
+ Technical Solutions Manager
+ Lab Automation Manager
+ Support the implementation & customization of BD Informatics (software) :
+ Integrating the BD Informatics solution into the customers' IT infrastructure.
+ Interfacing with BD Diagnostics instruments.
+ Connectivity to the customer's existing environment and third-party software systems. i.e. HIS, LIS connectivity in hospital or lab setting.
+ Majority of hands-on time working with customers will be IT focused, working with Laboratory and Hospital IT departments to co-ordinate their provision of the server and network infrastructure required to support the BD informatics solution.
+ Support implementation activities including:
+ Engage with customer stake holders to ensure the technical IT requirements for BD Informatics products are met prior to implementation. This includes network port activation, VLAN/LAN configuration, firewall whitelisting, AV whitelisting, Virtual Server and SQL Server provisioning.
+ Applications installation and configuration.
+ Establishing connectivity of BD Informatics with all BDIDS instruments and hospital / laboratory informatics systems.
+ Ensure redundancies are in place to maximize customer up time such as database backups, application file backups and VM snapshots.
+ Provide support for customer (HL7, ASTM and CSV) interface development with BD informatics solutions.
+ Secondary support role behind country teams to BD customers in providing services such as:
+ Remote technical assistance to customers during system down and / or system malfunction.
+ Perform software updates and upgrades as required.
+ Perform scheduled security patching as required.
+ Perform database management activities as required.
+ Escalate system defects or requests for change.
+ Training and upskilling capabilities of all CASAJ country engineering and informatics specialists.
**Requirements**
+ BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Networking and Cybersecurity or closely related technical discipline.
+ Previous experience preferred in medical technology, middleware devices, PC / IT knowledge, networking and interface protocols, experience in a hospital setting supporting IT infrastructure such as servers, virtual machines and networking.
+ Previous experience deploying informatics solutions across a wide area network for large organization with multiple sites.
+ In depth knowledge of Information Systems such as:
+ Virtual machine management and deployment.
+ Advanced TCP/IP networking, VLAN and switch configuration.
+ Microsoft SQL database server administration
+ Working knowledge of current Cybersecurity standards
+ Firewall management.
+ Domain administration, Group Policy admin, DNS config, Microsoft Server OS
+ Browser configuration and internet connectivity configuration (Preferred)
+ HTTPS, SSL and TLS working knowledge. (Preferred)
+ HL7 and ASTM 1394 interfacing experience. (Preferred)
+ Possess technical skills and knowledge with communication interface protocols, cabling & networking, data stream analysis and troubleshooting
+ Strong computer skills (Microsoft Visio, Excel, Project)
+ Experience in web application and API development. ASP.NET
+ Microsoft IIS application configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate experience with project management and complex change management initiatives.
