JOB DESCRIPTION
- To coordinate and assist in preparing and improving Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Operating Procedures (SOP), and Job Hazard Analysis at work areas.

- Assist in coordinating issues with local authorities or government agencies such as D.O.S.H, D.O.E, Ministry of Health, Fire & Rescue Department, Police Department, and others.
- Assist in checking and monitoring all certified machinery, fire safety systems, and other equipment to maintain safe work practices and conditions in plants.
- Conduct routine checks and enforcement related to HSE requirements in compliance with company policies and procedures for all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
- Assist in monitoring unsafe acts and conditions, near-hit reports, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Manage eSWIS system for reporting to DOE as per statutory requirements and other environmental compliances.
- Promote safety culture and mitigate potential risks and hazards in operations.
- Participate and assist in coordinating 5S activities under HSE at workplaces.
- Perform any other duties as required by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or engineering science from a recognized institution, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Candidate with Safety & Health Officer (SHO) Certificate from NIOSH or other recognized institutions.
- Ability to work independently and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Possess a positive attitude, discipline, good interpersonal skills, and systematic approach.
- Experience in manufacturing environments, knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Able to plan, organize, evaluate, and lead activity schedules and direct others’ work.
- Exhibit a good attitude and interpersonal skills to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Possession of a Competent Person (CP) certification is preferred and advantageous, including:
- CePSWaM - Certified Environmental Professionals in Scheduled Waste Management.

Responsibilities
- Offers knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive Quality and HSE culture. This represents a key role in helping control business related risks in the organization
- Ensuring all Quality and HSE Management System documentation is kept up-to-date and for ensuring policies and practices are adopted
- Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing all aspects of the HSE management system
- Ensures that the company Management System certification remains operational
- Supports the organization’s aim to avoid operational losses, minimize brand protection issues and to assure continued process capability to its clients
- Assists with the management of suppliers’ performance and be involved in project feedback
- Maintains Quality and HSE performance databases in accordance with company requirements.
- Assists with preparation for and attends Management Review meetings
- Conducts system, supplier and office based audits, close out audit findings, creating audit reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions, through Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- OSHA 510 and 511 Course completion preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office to include Excel and VISIO
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- Confident self-starter who can work independently
- Experience of working in and managing a Quality and HSE Management system environment
- Knowledge of internal, external and third party certification audits.
- Knowledge of HSE standards and legal requirements
