About the role

Oversee regular testing, drills, and exercises to validate the effectiveness of business continuity plans, identify areas for improvement, and stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulatory requirements for ongoing adjustments to the program.

Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Information Security and Business Continuity teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and resiliency and security awareness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Risk Management, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure the integration of security and business continuity requirements into operational processes and projects.

What we're looking for

About the Role

The Head of Technology Centre is responsible to oversee the daily operations of AIA Singapore offshore technology center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ensuring a proper planning including but not limited to budget planning/management, strategic initiatives planning/execution, and resources planning/management to support various technology functions of AIA Singapore. The incumbent is required to partner with various technology functions’ head to develop and build a highly functioning teams to support AIA Singapore.

  • Define and execute the roadmap for technology Centre in alignment with the technology strategy of AIA Singapore.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility and excellence to deliver outstanding solutions and platforms. Build competencies and strong engineering culture to enhance team motivation and productivity.
  • Oversee day today operations of the technology center, manage budget, optimize resource allocation and forecast the PNL.
  • Partner with technology function heads in Singapore on resource and headcount requirements. Plan and implement necessary hiring strategies to meet project and stakeholders’ resource demands.

Financial and Non-Financial Measures

Financial:

  • Annual budget preparation, regular forecasting, and management of PNL. Ensuring cost effectiveness in the center’s expenditure and capital investments, and well within the approved budget.

Non-Financial:

  • Recruitment and retention outcomes, headcount forecasting and demand management, center’s strategic initiatives, capability building, quality of management, etc.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 15 years of experience in technology related field, at least 8 years of experience in managing offshore or global teams.
  • Leadership with ability to drive a technology center and software development teams. Proven ability to coach and develop others. Strong people and stakeholders’ management skills.
  • Good understanding of organizational and business processes and management. Ability to effectively work and collaborate with different stakeholders in big corporate settings.

Overview

Head of Technology & Systems at EMAX Beauté International Sdn Bhd — a senior management role reporting to the CEO, with a mandate to transform technology from a support function into a strategic growth driver. This role architects and leads the next stage of the company’s digital backbone, enabling business expansion, omni-channel integration, AI adoption, and future SaaS opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

  • Design and own the 3-year technology roadmap aligned with business priorities (retail & e-commerce).
  • Drive projects that enable omni-channel integration, scalability across new markets, AI adoption, and potential SaaS productization.
  • Translate CEO’s vision into structured execution plans.

Systems & Integration Leadership

  • Oversee all critical platforms: in-house POSM/CRM/WMS/Commission/Appointment systems, as well as external SaaS (Shopify, respond.io, HR/payroll, accounting, marketing tools, collaboration tools).
  • Ensure integration, security, and reliability across all systems.
  • Establish RACI and ownership for each system and process.

Project & Team Orchestration

  • Lead and mentor the internal IT team (Project Managers, Data Manager, Architecture Manager, QA Testers) and manage external developers/agencies.
  • Implement project governance: milestones, reporting, accountability, and performance.
  • Build future capabilities (Systems Integration Lead, in-house Dev squad, Data/BI).

Data & Intelligence

  • Work with the Data Manager to develop real-time dashboards, AI forecasting, and BI tools that improve decision-making across the business.
  • Champion a data-driven culture within the organization.

Business Partnership

  • Act as the bridge between business and technology — ensuring tech projects are aligned with operational, financial, and customer experience goals.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Retail teams to design scalable solutions.

Key Outcomes (12–18 months)

  • Fully integrated core systems (POS, CRM, WMS, HR/payroll, Finance).
  • Clear ownership and governance framework for all IT systems.
  • 3-year tech roadmap delivered and in execution.
  • Business dashboards live, with AI-driven insights embedded.
  • Foundation laid for SaaS productization of in-house system.
Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • 8–12+ years in IT/technology leadership (Head of IT, Systems Architect, IT Director, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in system integration, ERP/CRM/WMS, and leading cross-functional tech projects.
  • Exposure to omni-channel retail/e-commerce environments is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with AI, automation, and SaaS product design.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic thinker with ability to translate business goals into technology roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system design, and integration.
  • Hands-on project governance skills (PMP/Agile/Scrum background is a plus).
  • Data literacy: able to champion BI/AI use cases.
  • People leadership: proven ability to lead hybrid teams (in-house + vendors).

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Head of Technology Risk
to lead our client's front-line technology risk function. This leadership role is critical in embedding a proactive risk culture across the technology organisation, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored effectively in line with regulatory expectations and the firm's risk appetite.

You will be responsible for driving the operationalisation of risk management within Technology, partnering closely with Line 2 Risk, Internal Audit (Line 3), and key business stakeholders to safeguard the organisation's technology landscape while enabling innovation and agility.

Responsibilities:

Risk Governance & Strategy

  • Lead a Line 1 Technology Risk function, acting as the primary risk partner to Technology leadership.
  • Define and execute the Technology Risk strategy, aligned with the enterprise risk framework and business objectives.
  • Champion a culture of ownership and accountability for risk within the Technology teams.

Risk Identification, Assessment & Mitigation

  • Own and manage the risk identification and assessment process for technology domains, including infrastructure, cloud, data, applications, DevSecOps, and AI.
  • Drive timely and effective resolution of risk issues, incidents, and audit findings in collaboration with system owners.
  • Conduct thematic risk reviews and deep dives on areas such as cloud transformation, resilience, third-party risk, AI/ML, and cybersecurity.

Risk Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain risk registers, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and control metrics.
  • Produce regular risk dashboards and reports for senior management and governance committees.
  • Escalate emerging risks and incidents in a timely manner, with actionable insights.

Policies, Controls & Assurance

  • Embed and continuously improve controls across SDLC, change management, access governance, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS TRM, HKMA, PRA, EU AI Act), internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Lead control testing and readiness assessments for regulatory reviews and audits.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Act as the key liaison between Technology and 2nd/3rd Line Risk, Internal Audit, Compliance, and Regulators.
  • Build strong partnerships with engineering, cybersecurity, data, and operations teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Tech Risk team.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years' experience in
    Technology Risk, Information Security, or IT Governance
    , ideally with exposure to Line 1 roles.
  • Proven track record leading or building a Line 1 risk function in a regulated environment (e.g., banking, insurance, asset management)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence senior technology and business leaders with a collaborative, business-enabling approach.
  • Comfortable presenting risk matters to executive committees and boards.
