Job Summary
Lead and oversee the sales and management of wholesale accounts, focusing on bandwidth services and MVNO partnerships. Responsible for driving revenue growth, fostering strong customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing key accounts across these two critical areas. This role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and collaboration with other functions to ensure successful execution of the company’s sales and account management strategies.

The Day-To-Day Activities

  • Wholesale & MVNO Account Strategy:
  • Develop and execute the sales and account management strategy for both wholesale services i.e. bandwidth, network infrastructure, bespoke connectivity services and MVNO partnerships.
  • Identify new business opportunities within both the wholesale and MVNO markets and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key wholesale clients and MVNO partners to maximize account growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and inspire the account management team to meet and exceed sales targets for both wholesale and MVNO services.
  • Establish clear sales goals, KPIs, and performance targets for the team, and provide guidance and support to ensure those goals are met.
  • Monitor and track account performance and adjust sales strategies as needed to ensure success.
  • Account Relationship Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely resolution of issues for both wholesale and MVNO clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders at customer organizations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring they receive personalized, high-touch service.
  • Contract Negotiation & Renewal Management:
  • Lead the negotiation of contracts, terms, and pricing for both wholesale and MVNO agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage contract renewals, ensuring seamless transitions and identifying opportunities to upsell or expand service offerings.
  • Collaboration with Product & Pricing:
  • Work closely with the Head of Product & Pricing to ensure that the account management team is equipped with the latest product offerings, pricing models, and market insights.
  • Ensure that the account management team is well-versed in product updates and able to communicate the value proposition of wholesale and MVNO services to customers.
  • Team Management and Development:
  • Manage a team of account managers, ensuring that they have the resources, support, and training necessary to be successful.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance within the team.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to help them advance in their roles and contribute to the success of the business.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with the Heads of Product & Pricing, Wholesale Operations, Pre-Sales, and Business Planning to ensure smooth execution of contracts and successful delivery of services.
  • Reporting and Forecasting:
  • Develop and present regular reports on account performance, sales progress, and customer satisfaction to senior leadership.
  • Provide sales forecasts and pipeline updates to ensure alignment with business planning and financial goals.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance or Telecommunications. Postgraduate qualifications (MBA or similar) are advantageous.
  • Sales or key account management certifications, courses, trainings are a plus.
  • Over 10 years of experience in B2B telecom sales, including wholesale and/or MVNO segments.
  • Strong track record in developing and closing large-scale telecom or enterprise deals.
  • Proven experience leading a high-performing sales and account management team.
  • Strong negotiation, pipeline management, and commercial strategy skills.
  • Deep understanding of telecom commercial models, sales cycles, and revenue forecasting.
  • Familiarity with telecom technology, platforms, systems and performance tracking tools.
  • Customer-centric with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.

The Head of Sales will spearhead the commercial growth of Hasilwan’s Green Energy Solutions division, driving adoption of solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and energy efficiency solutions across Malaysia’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector. This role requires a dynamic leader who can develop winning strategies, inspire a high-performing sales team, and deliver strong revenue growth while advancing Hasilwan’s ESG and innovation commitments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Hasilwan’s GES business objectives, covering Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) segments.
  • Identify and target key industries such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, and banking for sustainable growth.
  • Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and drive accountability across the sales team.
  • Collaborate with Product & Pricing, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure offerings are competitive, feasible, and customer-centric.

2. Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new business opportunities for solar, BESS, and energy efficiency solutions.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, tenders, and presentations, ensuring timely and compelling submissions.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that balance profitability with compliance and risk management.

3. Market & Channel Expansion

  • Partner with Marketing to design lead-generation campaigns, events, and thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Establish and grow strategic sales channels, including EPC partners, ESCOs, and financial institutions.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to refine sales approaches.

4. Team Development & Performance

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top sales talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Promote solution-based selling, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive discipline in sales processes, pipeline reporting, and CRM adoption to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience in solar/renewable energy, industrial technology, or infrastructure solutions (C&I sector preferred).
  • Proven success in managing multi-million RM pipelines and closing high-value contracts.
  • Strong business network across Malaysia’s commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of solar financing models (CAPEX, lease, PPA) and local energy regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Willingness to travel regionally within Malaysia.

Performance Metrics

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies within the sales department.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop integrated campaigns, sales collateral, and branding strategies.
  • Work with Product Development/Service Delivery teams to ensure offerings meet market demands and client expectations.
  • Liaise with Finance for budgeting, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in sales roles, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Head of Sales, Sales Director, VP of Sales).
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sales planning, business development, and market expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The person is responsible for developing business partnerships and driving new revenue sources for the plant. The position is responsible for identifying opportunities and threats mainly within business segments served by the company, collaborating with stakeholders to develop initiatives and strategies that optimism business opportunities to deliver budget.

Responsibilities :

  • To generate more leads forThermoforming parts and packaging products (for semi-conductor, consumer electronic items, FMCG etc)
  • Meet Sales budget
  • Build and manage business development pipeline to achieve annual sales growth above industry average
  • Develop new key accounts for sustainable sales growth
  • Propose and execute strategic business direction in line with Division direction
  • Become an expert in products offered
  • Liaise with NPI team for prompt RFQ and delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Marketing, Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years or more industrial sales experience in plastic component (Heavy Gauge), E&E. industries with demonstrated success in acquiring new accounts. B2B technical sales.
  • Age between 30s to early 40s
  • Ability to converse in Chinese or other dialects (Business communication)
