Job Purpose

The Head of Sales & Marketing, Malaysia is responsible for driving student enrolments, brand awareness, and revenue growth across all campuses in the country. The role requires strong strategic leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to position the organization as a leading education provider in Malaysia. The role also oversees local admissions teams and marketing functions, ensuring alignment with the group's global brand and enrolment goals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead the Sales & Marketing function across all campuses in Malaysia
  • Design and implement country-specific marketing and admissions strategies aligned with group-level business plans and brand guidelines
  • Provide market intelligence and country-specific insights to the leadership team to inform decision-making
  • Work closely with the Country Director and other functional heads to ensure an integrated approach to school growth and operations

Financial

Sales & Admissions:

  • Own and drive student enrolment targets across all campuses in Malaysia
  • Forecast admissions and revenue based on market trends, lead flow, and conversion rates
  • Monitor and report admissions performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Drive effective lead management, follow-up mechanisms, and parent engagement strategies
  • Ensure the admissions process is smooth, parent-centric, and aligned to brand promise

Marketing

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing strategy for Malaysia
  • Supervise in-country marketing and sales teams to build strong brand positioning and awareness
  • Drive online and offline marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, events, school outreach, and media relations
  • Oversee external marketing agencies and ensure campaign messaging is localized and effective
  • Collaborate with the group marketing team to ensure brand consistency and performance reporting

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Collaborate with the Country Director and Finance team to plan the Sales & Marketing budget for Malaysia
  • Monitor marketing ROI and cost-per-lead metrics to ensure budget efficiency
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize performance and spend

Customer Experience & Communication

  • Drive customer (parent) satisfaction through proactive engagement, follow-ups, and a seamless admissions journey
  • Act as a key spokesperson in prospective parent interactions and open houses
  • Collaborate with academic and operations teams to ensure strong alignment between promises made during admissions and actual school experience

People Focus

  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team across campuses
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities
  • Work with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent in the admissions and marketing functions

What the day will look like

  • Apply regional best practices in sales, campaigns, and marketing procedures, including monthly monitoring of Return on Investment for campaigns and marketing activities.
  • Respond positively and constructively to recommendations from Compliance and Senior Management, and actively identify and share best practices across teams.
  • Contribute to CRAH Malaysia initiatives as required, offering constructive challenge and supporting agreed implementations.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as reasonably assigned by your supervisor.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent industry experience with a minimum of 10 years.
  • Proven relationships with C-Level executives and Risk/Insurance management, or the ability to establish and maintain these relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication, with confident presentation capabilities.
  • Skilled in consultative selling, advising, influencing, and negotiation.
