About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Quality (Marine Operations) to lead and manage QA/QC activities across marine repair, conversion, and shipbuilding projects. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines while improving stakeholder satisfaction, minimizing rework, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and allocate QA/QC manpower for assigned projects.
- Track and analyze monthly Marine Quality KPIs (e.g., weld repair rate, inspection report submissions, client NCR index, customer feedback).
- Monitor and support closure of NCRs and Quality Action Notes (QAN), ensuring compliance with corrective actions and audit findings.
- Implement and manage marine operation quality programs in line with corporate and ISO standards.
- Facilitate and support internal and external audits conducted by corporate, certification bodies, and clients.
- Provide technical guidance to the Commercial Team on quality requirements for tenders and proposals.
- Review client contracts for quality requirements and align work scopes accordingly.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marine repair, conversion, or shipbuilding.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO compliance.
- Proven leadership and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
