- Overall responsibility for developing production quality systems and documentation including Management of ISO 9001: 2008 & HACCP standard. Take responsibility of Food Safety Management.
- Provide a support, advice and auditing service in relation to adherence to various accreditations for food safety, trading standards and environmental legislation. Liaison and representation on government advisory bodies.
- Proficient management and delivery of the Quality budget
- Manage of all laboratories activities with scope that covers brewing, packaging, logistics and distribution. Assist team members in conducting daily routine Quality Assurance & Quality Control management.
- Ensure the accuracy of routine analysis and data entry by all three Labs team. Monthly trend analysis, and corrective action if any deviation detected (work together with Brewing/ Packaging team for improvement).
- Coordinate, conduct and monitor the preventive maintenance and calibration for laboratory instruments to ensure it is complete as per master schedule by team members.
- Supplier management and effective communication with suppliers: Support in supplier management & auditing and in the development of packaging & raw material i.e. design or artwork and auditing the production by supplier.
- Drive lean activities in quality department: deployment of all fundamentals, particularly (Kaizen, 5 S and PMS)
- Update and establish methodology following COM and latest information for Packaging, Chemical, Sensory & Micro Labs.
- Inventory control for Quality Assurance Laboratories (Issue PRs and GRN after good receive). Verification against latest Malaysian Food Act or Regulation.
- Any additional task assigned by the superior.
- Degree in Brewing, Chemical, Engineering or equivalent.
- 10-15 years relevant working experience preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge in Brewing, Packaging, QA management skills (eg. Analysis, instrument handling, method development & etc.), ISO 9001, HACCP, Food Act or regulation, GMP, GLP, Food Safety, 5S & Kaizen and SPC.
- Progressive, structured and systematic thinking. Strong training and communication skills. Understanding of link between operations and finance.
- Must be honest, co-operative, able to communicate effectively with good human relations skill, team player and independent.
- Quality of work is accurate, thorough and effective.
- Possess good leadership skills and more than 8 years experience in brewery operation.

As Quality Manager, you will own, manage and be the single point of Quality Assurance (QA) contact for the region. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Quality systems, procedures, and standards. Further, you will provide guidance in root cause analysis of complaints and be the Quality face towards our customers with defined KPIs and set targets.
Customer complaint handling, escalation, and moderation
- Active owner, driver & support of root cause analysis of complaints and non-conformances for customers in the APAC & MEA regions.
- Lead 8D resolution and act as 8D process owner to coach & challenge stakeholders, both on content as on structure, to ensure 8D resolution to customer satisfaction and that the company’s overall maturity of running 8D methodology increases year on year.
- Conduct 8D training and coaching sessions for regional teams.
- Support Sales Region (Tier 1) in coordinating, guiding, and handling customer claims, to track resolution and establish a system to record the activities.
- Establish regular claim reviews with Tier 1 and 2 services teams to identify repetitive issues, escalation needs and drive resolution. If necessary, act as bridge between the Regions and the Business Lines, Manufacturing and Supply Chain for the resolution of quality issues.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions via timely communication with Product Management and Engineering Change process.
- Has the overview of all major quality cases reported by (internal) customers.
- Ensures that all major issues are addressed in correct manner (8D-method, reporting, ownership, team set-up, …), either on global or on local level and that management is kept informed of critical issues, as required.
- Collaborate with all departments to get things going & resolved.
Quality performance monitoring & reporting
- Ownership & review of monthly reports of key KPI (i.e. NCC (non-conformance costs), CAR closure rate, audit adherence, etc.).
- Communication of the Quality performance with the management team and driving continuous improvement via corrective action follow-up.
Quality management systems
- Develop QHSE plans for customer turn-key projects & support the set-up and maintenance across the business regions in MEA & APAC.
- Lead and host audits by third parties (customers, certification bodies, etc.), where required
- Ensure relevant KPI targets are met.
Business Excellence & Continuous process improvement
- Drive process improvement and simplification by analysis of existing business processes to find risks and opportunities and to determine root causes.
- Visit factories and analyze the standardization, components to ensure the same quality and SOP applied.
- Drive change across the organization and act as internal advisor to support departments. Incorporating Six Sigma practices, the goal is to facilitate progress and reduce costs, focusing on effectiveness, efficiency, customer and user experience.
- Coordinate and lead projects for improvement across the organization.
- Monitor progress of corrective actions to check if changes yield desirable results.
Quality documentation management & awareness
- Share and maintain the Quality portal hosting the global QHSE management systems with regions
- Liaise with global QM workgroup for definition and implementation of global guidelines, rules and structure.

Lead initiatives to reduce DPPM, customer complaints, returned values, and quality costs.
Procedure & Policy
Check department policies, initiate policy changes, prepare related materials, and monitor policy execution to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Budgeting
Coordinate with functional teams to prepare annual department budgets and work plans, compare expenses monthly, analyze results, and report to the department director. Develop quality plans with management to set annual goals, build implementation strategies, and monitor progress. Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues.
Quality Control
Lead incoming material and supplier management, facilitate quality improvements, monitor operations for compliance with instructions, identify risks, and ensure proper resource allocation. Oversee outgoing product quality control, monitor training, and ensure effective application of quality tools.
Customer Complaint Management
Analyze customer complaints, organize monthly quality review meetings, negotiate with customers, conduct site visits, and monitor follow-up actions to resolve issues cost-effectively and improve satisfaction.
Quality Issue Resolution
Guide engineers to resolve on-site quality issues, assist in cross-functional problem-solving, and lead supplier-related defect resolution and improvement initiatives.
Quality Improvement
Initiate and monitor monthly cross-audits, review Six Sigma improvements, and oversee daily quality improvement activities to ensure continuous enhancement of quality standards.
Reporting
Prepare operational performance reports, analyze quality data, and report findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
Candidate Profile- Bachelor's degree in process engineering or quality-related field
- 8-10 years of experience in quality management, including 5 years in people management
