We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hardware Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and management of hardware equipment for events, internal company needs, and client sites. This role involves travel, hands-on technical work, and effective communication with clients and internal teams.
Event Hardware Setup:
-Lead the setup and breakdown of hardware for events, ensuring functionality and compliance with event requirements.
-Conduct pre-event testing to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
-Provide on-site technical support during events to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues promptly.
Internal Hardware Maintenance:
-Maintain and repair internal company hardware, including AV systems, IT equipment, and other technical tools.
-Oversee the hardware inventory system, ensuring accurate records and timely replenishment of supplies.
Client Site Hardware Maintenance:
-Perform quarterly maintenance visits to client sites, ensuring all hardware is functioning as expected.
-Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, liaising with clients to provide timely updates.
-Document maintenance activities and prepare reports for internal and client use.
General Duties:
-Stay updated on emerging hardware technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.
-Collaborate with the technical support team to develop and implement best practices for hardware handling and troubleshooting.

- Provide technical support to end users covering all hardware and systems related issues.
- Troubleshoot network equipment, Audio Video, Door Access, RFID & IoT and CCTV camera systems.
- Ensure that all project specifications are implemented in the technical solution and are compatible with the project's overall architecture including structured cabling.
- Identify any and all compliance issues with recommended resolution options.
- Responsible for solve any problems reported by customer and sends the necessary technicians to check and repair if necessary and test equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.
Requirements:
- Possess at least Diploma/post Graduate Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

- Finding cause of issues assigned using logs, knowledge base, other support sources (cover front and backend).
- Working on the life-cycle of help desk incidents.
- Resolving the issue based on support documents/knowledge base especially if it falls in to system configurations, restarts etc.
- Assigning the ticket to L3 support if necessary, otherwise, fixing the issue by code changes.
- Maintaining the Knowledge base.
- Guiding customer support teams (MGCC/ SFU) on troubleshooting the issues or guiding to get more clarity on the issues.
- Review information and training available for L1 support.
- Review Application logs for exceptions and find root cause of the issues and work on resolution (self or via L3 support).
- Support DR activities.
- Ability to learn technologies and delivery as per Team's requirements.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in L2 support and fixing production issues.
- Prefer previous knowledge on Banking Domain, Payments Domain, Lifestyle Apps Domain.
- Min Technical Skills: o MAE, SME, RMBP Regional, BTS - Spring Boot o M2U MY, M2u Regional, M2U biz - Spring boot, Struts or Exposure to Java Web technologies like Jsp, Servlets o MBPNS, MDIP, QRMS, SSL – Nodejs
- Good to have : Grafana/Prometheus/Dynatrace/ELK
- Minimum soft skills required.
- Ability to quickly learn the Company's product.
- Knowledge of relevant technology which will help effective L2 Support.

Responsibilities- Support post-sales request from Westcon’s Asia Pacific customers.
- Perform testing and reproduction as required to isolate, identify, and resolve customer's issue.
- Manage technical escalation to principal vendor.
- Manage customer escalation and expectation.
- Keep assigned cases properly documented and up to date.
- Keep up to date with the latest technology, product, and technical knowledge.
- Being the subject-Matter-Expert (SME) for assigned products.
- Share knowledge, idea, and experience with the team and contribute to the knowledge base.
- Follow assigned shift and carry out standby duty as scheduled.
- Perform any other duties as assigned accordingly by the superior.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years working experience in cyber security related field.
- Experience in managing and supporting Symantec Encryption, PGP and other encryption products, or CA Layer 7 or other API gateway and management products.
- Obtained cyber security industry and vendor certifications preferred.
- Experience in Technical Assistance Center (TAC) case support is an added advantage.
