The primary role of this position is in PCB layout design with secondary role to develop test program to test and characterize prototype hardware within the product development team. Layout design includes switch mode power supplies with high transient switching, small signal conditioning with low leakage and noise, mixed signal, high-speed digital, ADC, DAC & IO interface, clock & PLLs.

• Design and layout PCB boards for test & measurement instrument using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
• Layout high-speed digital, small-signal, low-noise, low-leakage PCB boards.
• Follow in-house design rules and guidelines to ensure the design meets required specifications.
• Develop new rules and guidelines to address new technology and techniques.
• Work with a System Architect or design-lead to define and optimize board layout to meet performance requirements.
• Work closely with the project manager to ensure hardware design meets the intended system performance, project cost, and schedule.
• Develop tests and test systems to evaluate and characterize prototype hardware.
• Promote good design practice and optimize reusable design blocks.

• Ph.D./Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
• Good understanding and experience in the product development cycle.
• Good knowledge in fundamental analog, mixed-signal circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition or Siemens Xpedition is preferred.
• Experience with other PCB layout tools will be considered.
• Good working knowledge in programming and scripting skills.
• Demonstrated ability as a good team player, able to work independently, self-motivated with a drive to improve hardware design and design processes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills working with cross-disciplinary teams in product development projects.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Minimum 4 years of PCB layout design experience.

We are looking for Hardware Design Engineer to support our client services that include but not limited to BOM, Schematic and layout of the platform for next generation of CPU/GPU/PCH which will be used for validation team to validate the CPU/PCH/GPU from different segment like Server, Client, Graphic and Device division.

• Work closely with multiple teams like layout, material, power delivery, signal integrity, package design, board validation, software coding and various board design teams to deliver a good quality board design or system which meets the platform and system level electrical requirement, High speed digital signal requirement, DFT and DFM requirements.


• Hands on in using and working on Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL (ConceptHDL) and Cadence Allegro PCB Designer for schematic edit and PCB layout review respectively. And also “Speed” tool for BOM management. To ensure the platform power on in the lab and debug with lab equipment like scope, LA and etc if the board has any issues.


• Good knowledge in PCB routing topology and design guidelines, Layout placement strategy and guidelines, PCB stack up technology, debug and technical knowledge of all types of interfaces (DDR, PCIe, USB and etc) and also develop good technical knowledge like Architecture, types of Memory, Power Delivery, Power interfaces, Power Management, HSIO busses and etc.


• Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.


• Test automation expertise with scripting/programming language.


• Familiarity with FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) and ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design flows and CPLD development.


• Prior experience in logic design for high-speed interfaces, memory controllers, or digital signal processing (DSP) is a plus.

• At least Bachelor degree in EE, Electronic or EE related (Hardware).


• At least 3 years of hardware design (PCB) experience.


• Good knowledge in PC Architecture, basis electronic components, basic circuit design and etc.


• Good analytical and debug skill, and able to resolve the issues accordingly (Problem solving skill).


• Showing good communication, documentation and team works capability.


• Add on knowledge of Schematic, simulation and software programming is preferable.


• Willing to relocate and work in Penang, Malaysia.

As an analog engineer within the product development team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and validation of analog and mixed-signal hardware for Keysight test & measurement instruments.

Your role will focus on supporting the development of circuits such as power supplies, analog signal conditioning, data converters (ADC/DAC), sensor and I/O interfaces, PLLs, and filters. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and improving circuit performance.

You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and FPGA engineers to ensure high-quality hardware system design. Typical activities for this role include:

• Participate in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and validation.
• Support schematic capture, PCB design reviews, and component evaluation.
• Perform troubleshooting, testing, and measurement of analog circuits.
• Work with senior engineers on design verification and system integration tasks.
• Document design work to ensure consistency and reusability.
• Contribute to improving design processes and practices under guidance from senior engineers.

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.
