Our Inventory Management team within Materials and Procurement takes charge of the security and accountability of our inventory by documenting transactions, verifying processes and procedures and reviewing systems. We conduct physical inventories and lead cycle counts, correcting discrepancies where possible. We also audit incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality and accuracy.

What you’ll achieve
As a Sr Analyst, Inventory Management, the primary function of this role is to perform system to system reconciliation between Dell & our 3PL inventory systems of record at a transactional level to understand any variance. The Inventory Management Analyst will report to the Dell Penang Inventory Management Senior manager. This role will cover Inventory management at the following businesses - Fulfillment Logistics, Reverse Logistics & Original design manufacturers.
You will:
System to System Reconciliations and ad hoc inventory adjustments are completed in a timely manner to support accurate reporting of inventory balances quarterly. Analyze results & report to the management team.
Drive for root cause/corrective actions with proper closure and action plan with stakeholders. Ensure that appropriate root cause and corrective actions are driven to reduce variation in reported inventory balances.
Ensure reconciliation functions are in compliance with all required audit & controls. Complete all inventory control audits as required and analyze, drive corrective action for any findings.
Risk management that involves identify risk level, driving for solutions and process improvement. Provides recommendation for continuous improvement. Provide timely & communicate effectively on the reconciliation result to stakeholders & management.
Involve in projects impacting inventory to optimize, standardizeInventory management process and drive for consistency or tools adoption. Work closely with cross functional teamand contributeto drive for process improvement and knowledge sharing. Engage, maintain & share best practices with your global team.

Job Summary
This position is a senior executive role with the main responsibility of overseeing and accelerating inventory and logistic support for Performance Material Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of logistics coordination, and team supervision
- Material Management Handling- Material Code Creations/ Inventories Handling with 3PL Warehouse
- Coordinate with outbound team and Distribution Center for goods return management and prepare goods return report
- Maintain List Price, Create Salesman Code,Create/update PIR, Handling Cost Calculation into SAP system.
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders on issue related to 3PL
- Support preparation of monthly Operation KPI reports.
- Process procurement requests by preparing Management Paper, raising Purchase Requisition and following through subsequent procurement processes, such as Purchase Order, Good Receipt, and Payment till completion
- Invoice optimization and verification in Readsoft verify system.
- Invoice processing via GAPIM with correct currency, payment term, invoice reference and invoice date.
- Follow-up and resolve pending workflows with country PIC.
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders on issue resolution.
- Ensure accuracy of data
- Deliver invoice processing services within agreed quality, service levels and KPI targets as defined in Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Continuously seek to identify process issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Carry out all reporting requirements accurately and within specific timeline
- Bachelor Degree in Logistic/ Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or a related discipline (preferred)
- 2-4 years experience in a similar role

Objective
Responsible in creating permanent transparency of return and scrap potential for all relevant wholesale locations within the Global Supply Chain Network (SPP & WIMS Wholesale). Customer Support/Problem Solving
- Tracking, monitoring and measuring incoming and outgoing volumes within the regional logistic centers
- Ensuring accurate regional spare parts availability for Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans
- Ensuring Daily Order Processing based on Inventory Management System Order Proposals
- Planning, analyzing and initiating activities to forecast and update demand signals for spare parts
- Collaborating with several internal stake holders worldwide
- Executing root cause analysis
- Evaluating and recommending improvements
- Managing small allocated projects and processes to successfully achieve customer satisfaction improvements
Analytical and Reporting
- Analyze and investigate logistic issues using own knowledge, computer applications, databases with other Mercedes-Benz entities and external partners
· Continuously monitor and assess parts availability to ensure sufficient supply and response to support ongoing business requests and departmental reporting commitments to Mercedes-Benz internal partners
· Plan, develop and execute relevant operations and systems training in terms of Regional Inventory Management
· Ensure continuous update of own information and relevant knowledge regarding supported products, tools, Mercedes-Benz processes and information systems.
· Ensure changes to service-relevant MB Malaysia operational procedures are incorporated in own work
Qualifications
- Tertiary education with discipline in Supply Chain Management or other relevant field
- Minimum Diploma holder
Experience (type of)
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in supply chain and logistics environment or comparable
- Good understanding and experience in supply chain management and data analytics
- Knowledge in return and scrap processes preferable
Proven ability to translate business needs into data requirements as well as informative reports and visuals
Specific Knowledge / Skill
- Fluent in English (corporate language), any additional languages is a plus
- Va luable experience in logistics and data analysis
- Strong tracking and analytical skills in various tasks and scenarios
- Preferably experienced with Power BI, SQL and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders

Customer Support/Problem Solving
- Tracking, monitoring and measuring incoming and outgoing volumes within the regional logistic centers
- Ensuring accurate regional spare parts availability for Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans
- Ensuring Daily Order Processing based on Inventory Management System Order Proposals
- Planning, analyzing and initiating activities to forecast and update demand signals for spare parts
- Collaborating with several internal stake holders worldwide
- Executing root cause analysis
- Evaluating and recommending improvements
- Managing small allocated projects and processes to successfully achieve customer satisfaction improvements
Analytical and Reporting
- Analyze and investigate logistic issues using own knowledge, computer applications, databases with other Mercedes-Benz entities and external partners
· Continuously monitor and assess parts availability to ensure sufficient supply and response to support ongoing business requests and departmental reporting commitments to Mercedes-Benz internal partners
· Plan, develop and execute relevant operations and systems training in terms of Regional Inventory Management
Continuous Improvement
· Ensure continuous update of own information and relevant knowledge regarding supported products, tools, Mercedes-Benz processes and information systems.
· Ensure changes to service-relevant MB Malaysia operational procedures are incorporated in own work
QualificationsEducation Level / Training
- Tertiary education with discipline in Supply Chain Management or other relevant field
- Minimum Diploma holder
Experience (type of)
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in supply chain and logistics environment or comparable
- Good understanding and experience in supply chain management and data analytics
- Knowledge in return and scrap processes preferable
Proven ability to translate business needs into data requirements as well as informative reports and visuals
Specific Knowledge / Skill
- Fluent in English (corporate language), any additional languages is a plus
- Valuable experience in logistics and data analysis
- Strong tracking and analytical skills in various tasks and scenarios
- Preferably experienced with Power BI, SQL and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Good interpersonal skills and customer oriented
- Agile learner to be trained on various Inventory Planning tools and systems
- High conceptual thinking, imagination, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
