The PGGI Site Manager main responsibility to lead all on-site activities of a project to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning phases. In this position, you will serve as the point of contact for Customer, contractors and be expected to liaise between Team members and management. You must possess strong organizational and communication skills and work proficiently both individually and in teams.
How you’ll make an impact:
- You will be fully responsible and monitor all site activity, plans project on-site activities with Project Manager including management of the site personnel and the delivery of the contractual requirements, coordinate and drive the performance of the Site Works / operations in accordance with the Contract; ensure the fulfilment of the contractual deliverables within the defined schedule, cost effective, with the utmost importance to Quality, Health and Safety as per Hitachi energy standards.
- You will serve as the main interface to the customer site representatives and local authorities, assist in technical discussions with customers.
- You will be responsible for the proper implementation and compliance with the site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental Plan.
- You will ensure detailed construction Health & Safety (H&S) plan is in place, compliant with the Hitachi Energy standards, ensure all on-site resources are properly trained on company health, safety and environment policy and proactively promotes health and safety considerations to project partners throughout the project, if a situation arise, take the necessary steps to ensure that Hitachi employees and other persons are safe.
- You will manage the site budget and site costs, prepare accurate cost forecasting, communicate deviations, define mitigation actions to stay within budget and manage and follow subcontract works, claims, payment certificates and the overall performance of our subcontractors.
- You will ensure the collection and implementation of Lessons Learnt from previous projects and the preparation and distribution of Lessons Learnt from their site to the rest of the organization, ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained, and the latest revisions are used for the construction work on site.

Your background:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as Site Manager role for high voltage installations /electrical construction site/substation.
- Ability to take the lead and work hands-on to deliver on timely completion / customer expectations Safety first - on and off work. Relevant knowledge and experience in the field of HSE and sound knowledge in contracts management and commercial, fair knowledge on high voltage substation commissioning and O&M.
- Good teamwork, structure, communication, and collaboration skills, good understanding knowledge in Schedule management, must be able to review and plan, such as critical path and risk identification and mitigation.
- Self-motivated who drives all stakeholders internally and external customers, knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
- Able to work on assigned site whenever is required

- Order motherboards and test equipment to support lab operation, as defined by applications engineering.

About The Job
- Supervise and manage all site activities for civil and structural construction works.
- Monitor daily site progress to ensure work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review construction drawings and ensure accuracy and compliance with approved plans.
- Handle site documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, and inspection checklists.
- Resolve technical and site-related issues proactively with all stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Assist in project handover and commissioning processes.
- Ensure the project stays on track in terms of cost, timeline, and workmanship quality.

Skills And Experience Required

- Strong knowledge of civil and structural works, including foundation, concrete, and structural detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently on site.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to be based in Johor Bahru and commit to project timelines.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is an advantage.

Site Manager (Structured Cabling)
As a Site Manager (Structured Cabling), you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of structured cabling projects (fiber and copper) at client sites, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards, project timelines, and quality requirements. You’ll act as the on-site lead, coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
What You’ll Do- Oversee day-to-day site operations for structured cabling (copper & fiber optic) projects.
- Review and interpret project drawings, cabling layouts, and specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors during cable pulling, termination, splicing, labeling, and testing activities.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI, and client standards.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report risks, delays, or site issues to the Program Manager & Client.
- Ensure all cabling systems are properly tested (Fluke, OTDR, power meter) and documented for client handover.
- Enforce HSE compliance, conduct toolbox talks, and manage Permits to Work (PTWs).
- Liaise with stakeholders (clients, consultants, vendors, and other trades) to resolve technical or scheduling conflicts.
- Manage manpower, tools, and material allocation, including monitoring deliveries and site inventory.
- Prepare site reports, redline drawings, and final handover documentation.
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field (preferred) or higher.
- 5+ years of experience in structured cabling / ICT infrastructure site management.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI, TIA-942).
- Proven experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multi-trade activities.
- Familiarity with data center, ELV, or ICT infrastructure projects.
