- Proactively identify potential business opportunities through extensive networks and research to secure Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
- Develop new business across all product lines, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.

Client Relationship Management

QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of relevant business development experience in international freight forwarding, with at least 10 years of leadership experience.
- Proven sales track record and an excellent customer network in Indonesia is a must.
- Ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Experience in leading high-performing teams.

Overview of the Role
Reporting directly to the Country General Manager, the Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of logistics and supply chain operations—including transportation, warehousing, freight, distribution centers, and field services. This position plays a key role in managing relationships with key clients and third-party logistics (3PL) providers while ensuring service excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Oversight
- Lead daily operational functions across transportation, warehousing, and field service.
- Supervise distribution center performance, including those in East Malaysia.
- Ensure cold chain and HALAL compliance where applicable.
Warehouse & Distribution Management
- Optimize warehouse operations for capacity, cost, and compliance.
- Set SOPs aligned with regulatory and quality standards.
- Address operational issues such as cost overruns, process bottlenecks, and service gaps.
- Lead strategy for expanding business capabilities and capturing new market opportunities.
Transportation & Fleet Management
- Manage nationwide routing and deliveries to 300+ retail outlets.
- Maintain and optimize a fleet of over 30 trucks.
- Drive initiatives to reduce transportation costs while ensuring service reliability.
- Oversee daily freight activities, particularly in the export market.
- Ensure cost-effective freight strategies while maintaining profitability.
- Establish freight policies aligned with international standards.
Field Services
- Lead logistics support for store rollouts and nationwide delivery efficiency.
- Oversee routine capacity assessments and optimization projects in partnership with clients.
Financial & Strategic Planning
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and overall P&L performance.
- Develop long-term strategies for operational scalability and revenue growth.
- Support investment decisions in logistics infrastructure, tools, and human capital.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key point of contact for strategic clients including major F&B chains.
- Maintain high service levels and proactively resolve client-related issues.
- Promote cost-saving and service-improvement initiatives to key accounts.
- Inspire and lead a team of managers across various logistics functions.
- Develop KPIs and performance management systems for direct reports.
- Drive talent development initiatives including training in continuous improvement methodologies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- At least 5 years of relevant senior-level experience in operations, ideally within the logistics or supply chain sector.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale logistics operations.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.

The Indoor Sales Support Executive plays a key role in supporting the sales team by handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, managing documentation, and coordinating with internal departments. This position helps ensure a smooth sales process and enhances customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely service from the office
Key Accountabilities
- Perform cross selling, prepare quotations, sales proposals, and service agreements based on client requests, ensure healthy quote conversion.
- Process bookings and follow up on inquiries from the sales team or customers , and support field sales representatives with pricing, documents, and customer updates.
- Handle incoming phone calls and emails from customers regarding services, schedules, and pricing.
- Provide proactive updates to customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and lead times , and build strong working relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Liaise with operations, customer service, and accounts departments to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Coordinate closely with overseas agents and internal departments for quotation accuracy and timely responses , and assist in resolving customer issues or complaints quickly and professionally.

- A good command of English is required. Proficiency in other regional languages is a plus

The Head of Field Sales will be a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing the entire field sales function across Malaysia. This role involves developing and executing a cohesive sales strategy to drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across all freight forwarding services, including air, sea, and cross-border logistics. The Head of Field Sales will be accountable for managing and mentoring a team of Field Sales team, who in turn lead teams of executives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market expansion goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver country field sales budget (volume & GP) and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business growth targets for the country, in alignment with regional and global objectives.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Field Sales Managers across different countries, providing strategic guidance, setting performance standards, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
- Oversee the sales pipeline and team performance, ensuring robust reporting, forecasting, and the effective use of CRM tools to track progress against KPIs.
- Drive market development by identifying new business opportunities, monitoring competitor activity and market trends, and providing strategic input on pricing and service offerings.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex client issues and maintain strong relationships with major clients and stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Operations, Customer Service, and Technology, to ensure seamless service delivery and the development of integrated solutions that meet customer needs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing multi-team sales function.
- Extensive progressive experience in freight forwarding sales, with a significant portion of that time in a senior leadership or management role overseeing a multi-country or multi-team sales function.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth and market share.
- Deep knowledge of international logistics, INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and trade regulations across the Southeast Asian market.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop a diverse sales force.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic presentation skills in English. Proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required for team meetings, client visits, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities:
Primary Functions
- Hunt, win and acquire new business and customers for the organization
- Lead the engagement and grow assigned customers in country
- Maintain positive and close relationships with all assigned customers
- Lead and prepare customer quotations and proposals
- Meet targets and/or increase the organization's revenue, volumes and gross profit
- Execute business development strategies and tactics
- Assist management and leadership in the formulation of sales planning, tactics and strategies when required.
- Interact with local and regional product teams (including Air, Ocean and others) on securing the best rates in the market for customer proposal purposes.
- Manage and analyze the performance of owned customers, identify the need for action and execute these actions

- Work collaboratively with leadership & related stakeholders to implement new & existing sales initiatives
- Work on tenders/RFQs/Bids if required

- Drive mutually beneficial outcomes that meet both the customer’s expectations (service quality, fair pricing) and company objectives (gross margin, profitability, service expansion, and new project opportunities). ·
- Identify and pursue opportunities to introduce and sell additional services, deepening the integration between the company and the customer. ·
- Manage customer feedback, address inquiries promptly, and compile insights for monthly reporting to support discussions with the Business Development Manager. ·
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Demand & Supply Planning, and Operations teams to ensure service levels consistently meet agreed standards. ·
- Coordinate with country management to execute projects aligned with customer expectations. ·
- Partner with the Business Development Manager to manage the onboarding process for new customers. ·
- Monitor customer business developments proactively, preparing for and adapting to proposed changes. ·
- Support negotiations and contract renewals in collaboration with the Business Development Manager or Country Head of Commercial.
- Conduct regular meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews to strengthen contractual relationships and foster long-term partnerships.
- Track and analyze customer performance against KPIs, preparing monthly performance reports.
- Provide support on ad-hoc projects and initiatives to achieve team and company goals.
Requirements:
- University degree in Marketing/Business/Management / Engineering or equivalent · Required Languages: English and Malay Language, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in the corporate sales, key accounts or area, experience.
- Gained from logistics, FMCG or food and beverage industries would have definite advantages. ·
- Experience in industries of Logistics/Warehouse should be an advantage. ·
- Excellent commercial and communication skills. ·
- Proactive and positive approach to customers externally and internally. ·
- Strong mathematical/statistical and presentation skills. ·
- Highly proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel) ·
- Capable of utilizing Business Intelligence tools.
