  • Proactively identify potential business opportunities through extensive networks and research to secure Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).

Operational Involvement

  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure the seamless execution of business development strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of relevant business development experience in international freight forwarding, with at least 10 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven sales track record and an excellent customer network in Indonesia is a must.
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

The Field Sales Manager is responsible for developing new business, retaining existing clients, and growing revenue across all freight forwarding services, including air, sea, and cross-border logistics. Key Responsibilities:

Primary Functions

  • Hunt, win and acquire new business and customers for the organization
  • Lead the engagement and grow assigned customers in country
  • Maintain positive and close relationships with all assigned customers

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. ·
  • Basic PC knowledge, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and usage of Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above is preferred.

Position: Head of Operations (Freight Forwarding)

A leading multinational logistics organization is looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to oversee end-to-end logistics functions across Malaysia. This strategic role offers a competitive monthly salary of MYR 25,000 to 30,000 and is ideal for a seasoned operations leader with strong logistics expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

Overview of the Role

Reporting directly to the Country General Manager, the Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of logistics and supply chain operations—including transportation, warehousing, freight, distribution centers, and field services. This position plays a key role in managing relationships with key clients and third-party logistics (3PL) providers while ensuring service excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Oversight

  • Lead daily operational functions across transportation, warehousing, and field service.
  • Supervise distribution center performance, including those in East Malaysia.
  • Ensure cold chain and HALAL compliance where applicable.

Warehouse & Distribution Management

  • Optimize warehouse operations for capacity, cost, and compliance.
  • Set SOPs aligned with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Address operational issues such as cost overruns, process bottlenecks, and service gaps.
  • Lead strategy for expanding business capabilities and capturing new market opportunities.

Transportation & Fleet Management

  • Manage nationwide routing and deliveries to 300+ retail outlets.
  • Maintain and optimize a fleet of over 30 trucks.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce transportation costs while ensuring service reliability.
  • Oversee daily freight activities, particularly in the export market.
  • Ensure cost-effective freight strategies while maintaining profitability.
  • Establish freight policies aligned with international standards.

Field Services

  • Lead logistics support for store rollouts and nationwide delivery efficiency.
  • Oversee routine capacity assessments and optimization projects in partnership with clients.

Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and overall P&L performance.
  • Develop long-term strategies for operational scalability and revenue growth.
  • Support investment decisions in logistics infrastructure, tools, and human capital.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key point of contact for strategic clients including major F&B chains.
  • Maintain high service levels and proactively resolve client-related issues.
  • Promote cost-saving and service-improvement initiatives to key accounts.
  • Inspire and lead a team of managers across various logistics functions.
  • Develop KPIs and performance management systems for direct reports.
  • Drive talent development initiatives including training in continuous improvement methodologies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • At least 5 years of relevant senior-level experience in operations, ideally within the logistics or supply chain sector.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale logistics operations.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Based primarily in an office setting, with regular visits to cold storage and dry warehouse sites.

The Indoor Sales Support Executive plays a key role in supporting the sales team by handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, managing documentation, and coordinating with internal departments. This position helps ensure a smooth sales process and enhances customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely service from the office

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform cross selling, prepare quotations, sales proposals, and service agreements based on client requests, ensure healthy quote conversion.
  • Process bookings and follow up on inquiries from the sales team or customers , and support field sales representatives with pricing, documents, and customer updates.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and emails from customers regarding services, schedules, and pricing.
  • Provide proactive updates to customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and lead times , and build strong working relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Liaise with operations, customer service, and accounts departments to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Coordinate closely with overseas agents and internal departments for quotation accuracy and timely responses , and assist in resolving customer issues or complaints quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain and update customer databases and records (CRM system or internal tracking tools).
  • Generate daily/weekly sales reports, quotations logs, and follow-up schedules , and track sales leads and follow up on outstanding quotations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customer support roles is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • A good command of English is required. Proficiency in other regional languages is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
