Overview

To be responsible for the accurate calculation and timely reporting of the Company’s capital adequacy ratio based on its risk profile (specifically for Finance area), thereby ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing crucial insights for strategic decision making and overall financial stability within the business. Responsibilities

To review the calculation of C2 Asset Risk Requirement and Financial Resource Adjustment (FRA) to ensure compliance to Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Notice on Valuation and Capital Framework for Designated Financial Holding Companies (FHC) for Licensed Insurer (RBC2) by the timeline as prescribed by Group Finance Singapore office which entails: Market Related Risk Requirement Counterparty Default Risk Requirement To review the preparation of FHC Financial Statement submission to Group Finance based on RBC2 accounting requirements to ensure compliance to MAS regulations and guidelines. To review and close the monthly accounts based on RBC2 basis and ensure reconciliations are prepared within the prescribed timelines. To liaise with Actuarial and Group Finance on FHC related tasks, to ensure consistency with treatment adopted by Singapore entities. To review the preparation of stress test scenarios as and when required by Group Finance and liaise closely with Actuarial to provide output within prescribed deadlines. To perform annual compliance review of the RBC2 submission against the Notice to ensure that computation and classification in the working files are aligned with the requirements of the Notice. To be involved in the implementation of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) RBC 2 which includes review the requirements of BNM Quantitative Impact Survey (QIS), calculations of risk charges and submission of the information required by the timeline as prescribed by BNM. To review and close the monthly investment fund related accounts and ensure the necessary reconciliations are prepared within the prescribed timeline. To prepare and review the daily investment linked prices for the Company’s investment linked funds by prescribed timeline. Qualifications

Tertiary qualification or full qualification in Accounting (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW). Full, partial qualification or in final stage of qualification in Chartered Financial Analyst will be an added advantage. At least 5-7 years of working experience in a financial institution preferably life insurance or established audit firms. Proficient in the Financial Reporting Standards and its applications to financial statements. Knowledgeable with fundamentals of investment and asset valuation computation and analysis. Familiar with a computerised accounting environment and be conversant with personal computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. How you succeed

This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful management reports for Great Eastern Group of Companies. Responsibilities

Fixed Asset

To maintain and update fixed asset register of the entity.

To ensure accurate recording of asset transactions including additions, disposals, depreciation etc.

To monitor internal project progress to ensure timely capitalization of assets.

To perform reconciliations of fixed asset records with accounting systems and address any discrepancies.

Management Expenses / Accruals

To keep track of the monthly expenses against the approved budget.

To liaise with the respective Business Units on the release of accruals.

To prepare journal entries for monthly accrual, cost reclassifications and allocations.

To prepare commentary and address any abnormalities of the monthly expenses and/or accruals.

Leases

To maintain the lease register and ensure accurate updates for new, renewed or expired leases.

Coordinate with Business Units to validate lease changes

To prepare lease schedules in accordance with the IFRS 16 Leases.

To ensure the necessary accounting entries in relation to the leases are posted to the system on timely basis.

Intercompany Transaction

To compile and verify all the necessary documents for intercompany transactions

To allocate the intercompany transaction expense and issue billing together with Statement of Account to the respective company on monthly basis.

To ensure the intercompany transactions are accurately captured in the system on monthly basis.

To perform monthly reconciliations on the intercompany balances and to address discrepancies immediately.

To perform intercompany settlement on timely basis.

Property Account

To manage monthly closing for property management business.

To prepare the necessary journals for monthly expenses.

To monitor earnings yields of properties to ensure consistent performance.

Tax Compliance and Reporting

To prepare and file tax returns, including corporate, withholding and indirect tax returns within the statutory deadlines and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

To coordinate with Investment team to ensure sufficient funds tax payments.

To prepare payment request forms and other supporting documents for all tax payments.

To prepare the monthly income tax and deferred tax provisions and to ensure the necessary tax entries are posted to the relevant accounts accurately.

Ad-Hoc

Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior as and when required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, or a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW, CPA, etc.)

1–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply

Financial Analysis Senior Specialist role at NTT DATA North America. This position is Fully Remote - Malaysia, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia. Key Responsibilities

Extract data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions. Contribute to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget. Prepare a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results. Conduct presentations related to findings and provide recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders. Research and analyze costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins. Conduct budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives. Reconcile and review monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts. Ensure budget and forecast variances are analysed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance. Assist with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Ensure key pieces of analysis are performed on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations. Continuously review business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations. Identify cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business. Required Experience

Degree in Finance / Commerce At least 5 years in financial planning and analysis and business analysis within a multinational company Comprehensive finance experience in a similar position in a related environment Experience with accounting software Supporting Region
