Overview

AvePoint is seeking a Business Analyst with enterprise software solutions experience to join us in our Client Services division.

What will you be doing?

The Business Analyst analyzes business processes and applicable automated systems, and develops As-Is and To-Be descriptions. This individual leads requirements gathering and analysis activities, prepares and delivers written and oral communications, participates in testing activities, and helps design methods and procedures for internal and external projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Elicit requirements for software development.
  • Document, analyze and evaluate requirements gathered. Work out deliverables such as Functional Requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.
  • Translate technical information into business language to ensure understanding of the requirements by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Support the project manager and other team members in planning deliverables, scope, schedule, and other aspects of the project.

Responsibilities include financial performance reviews, variance analysis, collaboration with accounting for accuracy, and assisting in budget preparation. The role entails coordinating budget timelines, preparing ad-hoc reports, and contributing to ongoing and new projects. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration are essential for maintaining and improving financial systems to support organizational objectives. Key Responsibility Areas: Prepare and assist in monthly management report by brand and country. Review financial performance by performing profit and loss variance analysis against budget and prior year, trend analysis, and provide quality insights and commentaries. Liaise and collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile, analyse, and ensure accuracy of overall monthly management report. Ensure monthly management reports are correctly and timely prepared and published to brands/countries. Assist in reviewing brands/countries budgets and forecasts submissions, with necessary justifications. Assist in consolidation of budget and forecast after brands/countries’ submission. Assist in coordinating budget timeline and submission among departments. Assist other members of the team in preparing ad-hoc store benchmarking reports, occupancy report, financial data analysis, presentations for the management and all finance matters. Actively participate in on-going projects of the team and propose new relevant projects. Process and financial systems maintenance and improvements. Key Requirements: Education: Must possess Degree in Finance and Accounting (Professional Qualification will be added advantage). Professional Experience: Comes with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably commercial finance/business analysis experience in retail/FMCG industry. Personal attributes:

Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills. Able to multitask, proactive, work under pressure and deliver within tight deadline.

Act as the single point of contact for both internal and external parties to ensure smooth and consistent communication flow

Identify and manage project risks to minimize impact to project timeline, quality of deliverables and costs

Experience with managing the Quality Assurance processes for software implementations

Ability to generate project documentations (eg. Functional Specification) and adhere to project reporting procedures

Identify customer needs, maintaining and expanding client relationships through delivery of solution based high quality work

Provide consultancy services to customers on technical requirements and be responsible for design and technical specifications

Qualification:

Have experience in managing projects with proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

Excellent estimating, scheduling & budgeting skills

Able to work independently

Strong team-building, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills

Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience

Strong application project management skill and design knowledge

Should have begun his career as software developer (should have worked as software developer some point in his career)

Knowledge of industry business best practices (eg. CPG industry)

Overview AvePoint is seeking a Business Analyst with enterprise software solutions experience to join us in our Client Services division. What will you be doing? The Business Analyst analyzes business processes and applicable automated systems, and develops As-Is and To-Be descriptions. This individual leads requirements gathering and analysis activities, prepares and delivers written and oral communications, participates in testing activities, and helps design methods and procedures for internal and external projects. Your responsibilities will include: Elicit requirements for software development. Document, analyze and evaluate requirements gathered. Work out deliverables such as Functional Requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs. Translate technical information into business language to ensure understanding of the requirements by both technical and non-technical audiences. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint/Dynamics CRM architecture, components, and configuration preferred. Understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures preferred.
