We are looking for a Field Application Engineer for Industrial Automation products to support Malaysia partners and customers. The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but may require support customers for IABG products/solutions within Malaysia.

For this role, you will work together with sales in region and connected with SEA FAE team to attend to customer’s technical enquiry and product support.

The main responsibilities are:

• To support our Sales team, Key account customers and channels partners
• Providing introduction and training to channel partners for IA products/solutions
• Supporting channel partners with application of all IA products/solutions
• Reporting periodically to Field Application Team on the status of the assigned activities and potential issues.
• Conducting benchmarking analysis for IA products/solutions whenever required
• Reporting technology and feature trends related to IA products/solutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years Automation engineer with Electrical experience
• Experience in Motion, PLC, Robotics, VFD and SCADA is a plus.
• Able to read, write and speak in English, Mandarin and Malay.

Our Teradyne Solutions Engineering Group (SEG) Field Applications team is looking for a highly motivated Test Application Engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently and develop test applications solutions for our customers.

• Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for semiconductor devices on Teradyne ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) platforms.
• Supporting test program correlations and release to production activities.
• Optimize existing test solutions for yield and throughput.
• Troubleshooting of test issues and improving test methodologies.
• Provide on-site support to customers using Teradyne ATE.
• Collect customer needs and requests, communicate to internal engineering team to develop new solutions for customer.
• Work within the support of our worldwide application teams to coordinate project development and on time delivery of critical project milestones.

• 7-10 years of test/product engineering experience in digital, high power device testing and with at least 5 years of test development background preferred.
• Programming experience on Teradyne or other ATE platforms. Experience on UltraFLEX or UltraFLEXPlus is a plus.
