The Departments are seeking candidates who are highly motivated and willing to join us for a challenging and fulfilling appointment as Associate Consultant on a contractual basis.

As an Associate Consultant, you will be required to carry out the duties as directed by the Head of Department in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the Hospital, National University Hospital (NUH) and the Ministry of Health (MOH). You must be able to demonstrate good technical skills (i.e. operative and procedural skills where applicable).

•Possess a basic medical degree and a postgraduate qualifications relevant to the department’s specialty or nature of operations registrable with the Singapore Medical Council

•Be in active clinical practice

•Must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council and must be accredited as Specialists by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health

•Able to work independently with demonstrated competence in managing patients in the department

•Confident, takes initiatives and a good team player

Position: Medical Officer

Responsibilities:

1. Provide medical care by interviewing, examining, and treating patients.
2. Maintain accurate medical records.
3. Participate in management, quality improvement, continuing education, and other healthcare programs.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Medicine (minimum requirement).
• Valid APC (Annual Practice Certificate) from the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

• Management of Chronic Diseases: Proficient in managing chronic diseases, occupational safety and health (OSH), and family planning/contraceptive methods.
  
• Health Screening Programs: Experience in health screening programs or preventive healthcare is advantageous.

Job Requirements:

• Must hold at least an MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  
• Must be registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) .
  
• Medical Officers (MOs) who have completed the mandatory 4 year service with the government and have frequent locum experience are encouraged to apply.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers and other involved parties, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Call patients and collect full medical records from them. Whilst conduct understand their medical status and enquiries.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ medical conditions, symptoms and treatment history and other medical records/documents as required to be reviewed by Medical Experts.
• Collaborate with patients to develop personalized care plans, considering their unique needs, preferences and available resources.
• Complete clinical case summaries with company’s standard. Explain Expert’s Opinion Report to the patient.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting care plans as necessary and providing appropriate medical guidance and education.
• Fulfil the above task requirements with standard turnaround time per flow.
• Cooperate with Medical Director and Care Coordinators in quality and service improvement initiatives.
• Deliver remote advisory service as requested and committed by Teladoc Health, including but not limited to Expert Medical Opinion (EMO), Health Advisory, Chronic Disease Care, Coaching/Education and Referral.

Professional Experience:

Required:

• Medical degree from an accredited university/institution
• Registered with an active medical license with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
• Graduate Diploma of Family Medicine or any other relevant specialty

Languages:

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in utilizing telecommunication technology and telemedicine platforms for virtual patient consultations.
