Job Description
- Overseeing the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and mechanical systems
- Developing and implementing schedules for routine maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of building systems and minimize downtime
- Carrying out minor repairs, upgrades, maintenances
- Managing day-to-day operations of facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions and building system issues promptly to avoid disruptions to operations
- Identifying opportunities for energy savings and implementing energy-efficient solutions, including monitoring energy consumption and reducing waste
- Coordinating and overseeing third-party contractors or service providers for specialized maintenance tasks or project work
- Assisting in the preparation of the facility maintenance budget and managing costs for repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance
- Ensuring that all systems and operations meet health, safety, and environmental standards. Conducting regular safety inspections, prepare safety SOPs
- Manage tenant requirements and all necessary task in relation to leasing out a premise
- Managing facility-related projects, such as new installations, upgrades, or renovations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any regulatory compliance checks. Generating reports for management
- Overseeing office layouts, space planning, and coordinating any necessary modifications to meet the needs of staff or operational requirements
- Developing and implementing emergency response protocols and ensuring staff and facilities are prepared for incidents like fire, flooding, or power outages
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil) or facilities management
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), problem-solving, and project management
- The ability to quickly identify problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure safety
- Hands-on mentality to carry out certain repair and maintenance tasks
- Ability to work in various environments and handle maintenance tasks
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Typically, a few years of hands-on experience in facilities management, building operations, or a related field is expected

Job Description BROAD FUNCTIONS- Experience managing clean room, Air Handling Units, Air-Conditioners, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air-Compressors, Air-Dryers, Vacuum System, Ring Blower, Scrubber and other mechanical systems for a Manufacturing Facility.
- Provides engineering and technical support to discipline engineers and maintenance team on all mechanical engineering issues.
- Maintain required levels of mechanical engineering aspect of design, integrity and performance of equipment, systems, and services as per engineering specifications and relevant codes and practices.
- Manage the development and delivery of nominated minor and major projects.
- Lead the development and implementation of the site’s mid-long term reliability strategy.
- Provide inputs on mechanical related equipment and recommend engineering control aspect to solve the problem.
- Identify the needs of the Facilities Equipment maintenance and draw the necessary maintenance plans & execute.
- Draft and update utilities layout as and when required.
- Ensure Facilities equipment such as Air Handling Units, Air-Conditioners, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air –Compressors, Air- Dryers, Vacuum System, Ring Blower, Scrubber are maintained in the correct way with a PM program in place.
- Provide utility matrix and cost reduction program to lowering facility running cost.
- To carry out any given tasks assigned by the immediate Superior.
- Breakdown Issue/crisis (upset) management at off working hours, weekend and public holiday.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.
What You Will DoOperate and maintain critical facility systems including HVAC, electrical, process gases, WWTP to ensure uninterrupted production support.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Support test and commissioning of new or upgraded systems by reviewing designs, performing FAT/SAT, and validating performance against specifications.
Develop and update SOPs, maintenance procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance, safety, and operational clarity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EHS, Quality, Production) to align facility operations with manufacturing needs and regulatory standards.
What You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
3+ years of experience in facilities engineering, preferably in high-tech manufacturing or critical infrastructure environments.

Our team is dedicated to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning facility environment, supporting business operations through proactive facility management and vendor supervision.
What You Will Do- Monitor and maintain all HT switchgears, battery charger units, and transformers to ensure normal operation.
- Oversee the condition and operation of LV switchboards, capacitor banks, and cooling fans.
- Conduct weekly test runs and preventive maintenance for standby generator sets.
- Record weekly electrical consumption meter readings and air compressor/dryer readings per checklist.
- Plan and execute calibration of electrical switchboards, and servicing of VCB and ACB every two years.
- Supervise and coordinate with electrical vendors for minor and major electrical works as well as projects, expansions, and construction.
- Ensure operation and maintenance of oil water separators, air compressors, air dryers, and line filters.
- Plan preventive maintenance for air receiver tanks in preparation for JKKP inspections.
- Attend to breakdowns and emergency requests, including working after hours and on public holidays when required.
- Manage facilities-related complaints and ensure closure tracking in AA, Toolroom, Sort & Rework areas.
- Plan and maintain HVAC systems including AHU, ACPU, WCPU, chillers, fire alarm systems, and related equipment.
- Assist facilities team members as needed and perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management.
- 11kV Chargeman Certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
- Strong experience in electrical systems maintenance and facility operations.
- Electrical background with experience in managing projects, expansions, or construction.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (but Not Limited To)
- Ensure Facilities meet all local and state codes and are up to date with all permitting requirements.
- Setup and continuous improvement of Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Establish and maintain KPIs for PM performance.
- Develop reports for KPIs and review with local teams for continuous improvements.
- Manage new and expansion General Construction projects, facilities system & utilities setup, Utilities Hook-up. Involvement including design and scope review, scheduling, progress update to local leadership.
- Provide HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) improvement, and energy conservation program proposals including plan and execution, project updates and benefits. Capable or proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), helps to update floor drawing with layout changes.
- Cost management review of all Facilities Maintenance Contracts, including sourcing, establishing scope, performance monitoring, and contract renewal.

- Manage annual Capital Expenditure Activities for the Facilities.
- Develop and prioritize Project List with local leadership.
- Update List as items are scheduled and completed.
- Scheduled presentation to local leadership or on an as-needed basis.
- Serve as Point-Of-Contact (POC) for Facilities Department involvement in ISO audits and Insurance audits.
- Responsible for Samtec Satellite Facilities’ camera and security systems (Co-managed with IT Dept).
- Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting and repairs for Facilities equipment issues.
- Support other Global Facilities related equipment and projects as required.
Required Experience
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Maintenance and Facility Management.
- Experience in maintenance and operation of different facilities.
- Experience in HAZMAT Disposal is required.
- Knowledge of Technical Training is preferred (OSHA, Forklift, DOT, etc.).
- Must have 20/40 Correctable Vision.
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Related Technical Degree Preferred.

Overseeing the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and mechanical systems Developing and implementing schedules for routine maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of building systems and minimize downtime Carrying out minor repairs, upgrades, maintenances Managing day-to-day operations of facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions and building system issues promptly to avoid disruptions to operations Identifying opportunities for energy savings and implementing energy-efficient solutions, including monitoring energy consumption and reducing waste Coordinating and overseeing third-party contractors or service providers for specialized maintenance tasks or project work Assisting in the preparation of the facility maintenance budget and managing costs for repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance Ensuring that all systems and operations meet health, safety, and environmental standards. Conducting regular safety inspections, prepare safety SOPs Manage tenant requirements and all necessary task in relation to leasing out a premise Managing facility-related projects, such as new installations, upgrades, or renovations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any regulatory compliance checks. Generating reports for management Overseeing office layouts, space planning, and coordinating any necessary modifications to meet the needs of staff or operational requirements Developing and implementing emergency response protocols and ensuring staff and facilities are prepared for incidents like fire, flooding, or power outages Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil) or facilities management Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), problem-solving, and project management The ability to quickly identify problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure safety Hands-on mentality to carry out certain repair and maintenance tasks Ability to work in various environments and handle maintenance tasks The ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders Typically, a few years of hands-on experience in facilities management, building operations, or a related field is expected A strong focus on ensuring systems are working correctly and meet safety standards Being able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize urgent matters We offer you:

Experience managing clean room, Air Handling Units, Air-Conditioners, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air-Compressors, Air-Dryers, Vacuum System, Ring Blower, Scrubber and other mechanical systems for a Manufacturing Facility. Regular
Provides engineering and technical support to discipline engineers and maintenance team on all mechanical engineering issues. Maintain required levels of mechanical engineering aspect of design, integrity and performance of equipment, systems, and services as per engineering specifications and relevant codes and practices. Manage the development and delivery of nominated minor and major projects. Lead the development and implementation of the site’s mid-long term reliability strategy. Provide inputs on mechanical related equipment and recommend engineering control aspect to solve the problem. Identify the needs of the Facilities Equipment maintenance and draw the necessary maintenance plans & execute. Draft and update utilities layout as and when required. Ensure Facilities equipment such as Air Handling Units, Air-Conditioners, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air –Compressors, Air- Dryers, Vacuum System, Ring Blower, Scrubber are maintained in the correct way with a PM program in place.
