Job Description

The Company:

A leading national Law firm is looking for a Corporate Communications Executive to join their Bristol office on an initial 6 month contract with the opportunity for the role to become permanent. The role will report to the Marketing Manager and will work on a hybrid working policy. You will be responsible for a mix of public relations, internal communications and social media.

The Responsibilities:

  • Help manage the PR agency on day to day activities including co-ordinating corporate news and responsible business media releases.
  • Create and schedule posts for the firm’s social media channels to promote the firm’s corporate news, responsible Business activities and other content.
  • Create and publish intranet news communications and own the intranet news schedule including delivery of the weekly firm newsletter and weekly interview series
  • Support other departments across the wider business in communicating firm-wide projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the Marketing Team’s support for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Community Support, Environmental Sustainability and Wellbeing strands of the firms responsible Business programme

The Candidate:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role preferably in professional services environment
  • Experience working with a PR agency would be ideal
  • Experience of creating and delivering internal communications, including internal comms projects

This role is crucial in strengthening the Firm’s brand image and visibility, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate across departments, foster strong media relationships (with a particular emphasis on Chinese media), produce clear and purposeful content under tight deadlines, and contribute to growing the Firm’s profile in the industry.

Job Description

  • Gather information and draft internal and external communications (press releases, articles, social media content, brochures, and announcements) to enhance the Firm’s brand and image.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists — especially Chinese media — to maximize coverage and grow the Firm’s reach.
  • Develop relevant Chinese social media content, such as videos, for various platforms, including Chinese social media platforms, to reach and engage the Firm’s Chinese-speaking stakeholders and prospective clients.
  • Ensure social media content is available in both English and Chinese; this includes writing and translating messages and announcements to reach a wider, multilingual audience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with professional bodies (such as ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CPA, and others) to aid in industry branding and visibility.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of events and activities that help promote the Firm’s brand and culture.
  • Source and oversee the production of corporate gift items and premium materials in a cost-effective manner.
  • Handle external client communications related to congratulatory messages, condolences, greeting cards, and other client care initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual marketing budget and manage related expenses.
  • Work closely with Baker Tilly International on marketing and communication programs and initiatives.
  • Perform evaluation and post-mortem reviews after initiatives or events to identify lessons learned and opportunities for future improvement.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in corporate communications or media relations.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and oral); ability to read, write, and translate effectively in Chinese is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Creative, adaptable, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiar with the media landscape and digital media trends in Malaysia.
  • Experience in a professional services firm (such as accounting, legal, or financial services) is a plus.

We are looking for a Executive (Financial Communications) who will be supporting the overall account team performance in regards to client service. Along the way, they need to be able to understand Edelman’s various consulting processes/approaches and capabilities, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, and stakeholder mapping exercises, and will recommend them appropriately to clients and lead teams on plan implementation.

  • Assist multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, trouble-shooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline.
  • Assist client correspondence on daily/ routine matters (i.e. daily updates, activity reports, etc).
  • Strong writing skills and comfortable with delivering high-quality internal and external content.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of varied writing styles depending on the channel, platform, and audience.
  • Good/ Ready to build media relationships with Malaysia media and regional media based in Malaysia and the region. Local business/ corporate media and regional media relationship is a plus.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the integrated teams across creative, digital, performance, and data/ analytics and Edelman partners/ vendors.
  • Demonstrate a decent understanding of measurement and insights to track client programs and report on key learnings.
  • Demonstrate a decent understanding of the financial and Malaysia’s corporate industry

What is required of you:

Job Description

  • To lease out the mall promotional or exhibition spaces, ad panels and push carts or kiosks for revenues.
  • To provide conceptualization and design support for all mall wide events / promo / activities A&P collateral.
  • To create and produce artwork for press advertisements, shopping guides, brochures, signages, banners, posters, mall directories, flyers, etc.
  • To coordinate in uploading the approved contents, photos and relevant information to the mall's Website, Facebook and Social Media Applications. Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.
  • To handle visual presentation and set-up as per approved concept, design or theme.
  • To assist in dismantling and removing of the visual displays, stage at the end of allotted time or events.
  • To provide photography and video for all mall wide events / promo / activities.
  • To plan, execute and coordinate a variety of marketing, promotion and thematic events to enhance the shopper traffic in the specific month( s ) as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Advertising / Media / Art Design / Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 year( s ) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Strong creativity and conceptualising skills.
  • Pleasant personality, discipline and a team player.
  • Willing to put in extra hours and/or work on weekends when required.

We are looking for a Executive (Financial Communications) who will be supporting the overall account team performance in regards to client service. Along the way, they need to be able to understand Edelman’s various consulting processes/approaches and capabilities, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, and stakeholder mapping exercises, and will recommend them appropriately to clients and lead teams on plan implementation. What you will be doing:

Reporting to Senior Client Lead. Demonstrate understanding of key client information, including general business strategy, Business, and Global/ industry trends, and issues that impact products/services, key opinion leaders, customers, and competitors. Assist multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, trouble-shooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline. Assist client correspondence on daily/ routine matters (i.e. daily updates, activity reports, etc). Strong writing skills and comfortable with delivering high-quality internal and external content. Demonstrate an understanding of varied writing styles depending on the channel, platform, and audience. Good/ Ready to build media relationships with Malaysia media and regional media based in Malaysia and the region. Local business/ corporate media and regional media relationship is a plus. Coordinate and work closely with the integrated teams across creative, digital, performance, and data/ analytics and Edelman partners/ vendors. Demonstrate a decent understanding of measurement and insights to track client programs and report on key learnings. Demonstrate a decent understanding of the financial and Malaysia’s corporate industry Manage media lists, handle media relations and provide support on events & new business opportunities. What is required of you:

At least 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced and dynamic client or agency role. With relevant education qualification, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Basic knowledge/ experience of financial and the corporate environment in Malaysia. Strong writing skills. Enjoys working in a team and passionate about pursuing a career in communications. Job Description

To lease out the mall promotional or exhibition spaces, ad panels and push carts or kiosks for revenues. To provide conceptualization and design support for all mall wide events / promo / activities A&P collateral. To create and produce artwork for press advertisements, shopping guides, brochures, signages, banners, posters, mall directories, flyers, etc. To coordinate in uploading the approved contents, photos and relevant information to the mall's Website, Facebook and Social Media Applications. Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary. To handle visual presentation and set-up as per approved concept, design or theme. To assist in dismantling and removing of the visual displays, stage at the end of allotted time or events. To provide photography and video for all mall wide events / promo / activities. To plan, execute and coordinate a variety of marketing, promotion and thematic events to enhance the shopper traffic in the specific month( s ) as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Advertising / Media / Art Design / Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications or equivalent. Minimum of 2 year( s ) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Strong creativity and conceptualising skills. Pleasant personality, discipline and a team player. Willing to put in extra hours and/or work on weekends when required. Location : Selangor - 3 Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Responsibilities :

1. Assist media relations:
Assist in maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.
