RWDI is seeking an Intermediate Acoustic Engineer to join our APAC Noise and Vibration team, focusing on environmental noise and vibration projects across Southeast Asia. While experience in building acoustics is a plus—especially as our Kuala Lumpur office grows in this area—the primary focus will be on environmental noise and vibration projects.

Department: Noise/Accoustics/Vibration
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
About The RoleThis role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and occasionally other regions such as Taiwan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. As part of this role, you will need to be physically able to conduct testing in sometimes challenging conditions, as it involves conducting ground-borne noise and vibration measurements.
Note: This position is Full-Time.
Responsibilities- Support project teams in delivering noise and vibration assessments for environmental and building projects.
- Conduct ground-borne noise and vibration measurements in various locations across Southeast Asia.
- Analyse and interpret data, providing actionable insights to clients.
- Prepare 3D noise models using either Cadna or Soundplan.
- Lead client-facing activities, discussing project needs, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Develop and implement acoustic design strategies to meet project requirements, including the specification of materials, construction techniques, and mitigation measures.
- Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex concepts to clients and project teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in acoustics, including changes in regulations, standards, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering/science/physics disciplines, with advanced degree an asset
- Demonstrated interest in noise, acoustics and vibration
- Ability to work in a variety of physically demanding environments
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
The acoustics, noise and vibration team is a close-knit, social team where people love what they do. Team members work independently on a daily basis to contribute to the success of the team’s work. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong collaboration, people, and teamwork skills as well as the ability to prioritise and complete work independently. This role requires time management across several ongoing projects, problem solving, the ability to learn independently, and initiative-taking.
