• Metal moulders and coremakers make moulds and cores for casting metal.
• Tasks include assist senior supervisor in:
• Making moulds by hand or using auxiliary machines on a bench for small metal castings, on the foundry floor, or in a pit for large castings;
• Making cores for use in metal moulds;
• Cleaning and smoothing moulds, core boxes, and repairing surface imperfections;
• Moving and positioning work pieces such as mould sections, patterns and bottom boards, using cranes, or signalling others to move work pieces;
• Positioning patterns inside mould sections and clamping sections together;
• Cutting spouts, runner holes and sprue holes into moulds;
• Lifting upper mould sections from lower sections and remove moulded patterns.

Derive, monitor and control departmental budget and ensure department objectives are met. Manage the engineering department and ensure department objectives are met. Develop and manage maintenance management system that includes preventive and predictive maintenance, parts inventory control, control of maintenance cost, manpower control, etc. Work out the plans to achieve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and ensure downtime and/or rejection are minimal. Liaise with other departments/ plants for standardization or critical work execution. Ensure activities carried out by solely or jointly with other divisions observe good health and safety standards. Always adhere to and enforce company rules, policies, and regulations. Carry out routine walkabout and site inspection to ensure good housekeeping and identify potential breakdown or continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronic Engineering/ Control & Instrumentation or equivalent. Work Experience: Minimum 6 years of working experience in engineering/ maintenance. Follow standard operating procedures (sops) and work instructions for routine maintenance tasks. Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root causes of equipment problems. Technical

Install and rectify air conditioning/ refrigeration components and equipment Inspects systems and their components (e.g. Air conditioning, heating and refrigeration units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) To ensure safety and identify necessary repairs and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenance. Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures to identify equipment and systems repair and replacement needs. Perform preventive/corrective/predictive maintenance as needed and ensure that the refrigeration (ammonia & freon) and other assigned facilities systems function effectively. Clean cooler units and refrigeration facilities (e.g., Coils, condensation pans, drain lines, cooling towers, etc.) to ensure units are performing as required. Conduct inspection and preventive maintenance program for fire fighting system i.e. Pump house inspection Assist and monitor vendor in performing periodic servicing of fire fighting system Prepare documentation (e.g. Records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, fire fighting equipment inspection etc.) To provide written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information. Repairs or replaces defective parts in units, equipment, and controls. Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensures availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair. Record keeping: maintain records of maintenance activities, including part replacements, inspections, and lubrication schedules. Communication: communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report maintenance findings and request assistance when needed.

Qualifications/Experience

Job Description
