**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Process Engineer will oversee, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes. Leading special projects to improve production efficiency and quality. The position is hands-on, requiring proficiency in both automated and manual equipment, and aims to enhance the competency of operations and engineering staff.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Responsible for first pass yield improvement plan.
2. Follow up on daily production issue, lead the team on increasing yield, improving product quality, reducing the manufacturing cost.
3. Follow up on the customer quality feedback, prepare corrective action, and monitor the implementation.
4. Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications.
5. Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production yield and product quality.
6. Perform process simulations and troubleshooting.
7. Work along with IE to establish LBC (Line Balancing Chart) and Operator BF (Balancing Factor).
8. Perform production line capacity planning.
9. Lead CIP (Continuous Improvement Project) team to drive better process efficiency and quality.
10. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians and other staff.
11. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
12. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
13. Other duties as assigned.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
+ Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
+ Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
+ Also works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
+ Works under limited supervision.

2. Review the evaluation or test report and confirm the accuracy of report contents to ensure that the product meets the quality specification.
3. Documents maintain, upload related files to Doclink.
4. Coordinate the trouble shooting/problem solving during NPI/Product Duplication/Transfer.
**Responsibilities:**
**1.System Support Work**
Communicate with USA bulk cable engineering team and DG engineering team to to ensure understand the development requirement. Documents the requirements and support Penang SAP system from engineering system.
**2.Shop Floor Paper Work**
+ Coordinate the update of NPI documents, including SOPs, CPs, and test plans.
+ Maintenance and management of NPI documents,
**3.Review the evaluation or test report**
+ Review physical and SI test data, analyze the failure items
+ Coordinate the trouble shooting/problem solving during NPI/Product Duplication/Transfer.
**4.Sustain mass production**
+ Corporate with PQE, operation team to handle the daily questions/issues raised by PQE and production team.
+ Other sustain work like compliance confirm, the improvement requirements from CA team on mass production parts.
**Qualification:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in science or technology
+ 3 years min. working experience in cable design
+ asic knowledge about cable design and cable standards
+ Familiar with AutoCAD
+ Good communication skill, integrity, accountability and passion. Can work under the pressure.

Role Summary:
As a Project Engineer, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop new products, technologies and customer-specific solutions. You'll also coordinate the daily local order fulfillment activities on assigned projects. Additional responsibilities include quotation support, routine engineering analysis, detailed layout/mechanical design and operations support.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for project management & execution of multiple jobs pertaining to various customers
+ Coordinate with Engineering team and obtain drawing approvals from the customer
+ Support production by providing tactical advice and guidance on specification deviations and waigers, and other activities where required
+ Conduct production planning meeting to communicate the product requirement, specifications, timeline etc. to all applicable departments including Engineering, product management, production, quality, procurement etc.
+ Review complete technical documentation package to validate product performance against customer requirements and suggest modifications as needed
+ Prepare test plans and evaluate test results
+ Optimize and standardize new and existing product lines
+ Collaborate with the internal departments to ensure that the product is delivered to the customer on time as per the agreed terms & conditions
Requirements:
+ Understanding of engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
+ Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business groups globally
Preferred Experience / Skills:
+ BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experience
+ Effective verbal and written communications
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes are a plus
