Ensure alignment with product/project objectives within specified timelines and customer specifications while meeting standards and maximizing cost efficiency.
- Utilize AutoCAD to generate detailed electrical schematics and layouts.
- Manage and review Bill of Materials periodically to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Work effectively in a team environment by maintaining proper communication and cooperation among cross-functional teams (Mechanical and Software) to ensure projects meet objectives and schedules.
- Review and discuss project progress with cross-functional teams or SMEs to ensure timely achievement of project objectives.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source hardware components.
- Test and validate prototypes to ensure they meet performance benchmarks and standards.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements by applying international standards, documenting processes, and managing certification procedures with certification bodies.
- Review and maintain electrical designs, implementing enhancements and iterations to meet specific needs.
- Prepare technical documentation such as Work Instructions, Checklists, User Manuals, and Datasheets to support product development.
- Provide accurate and updated documentation to internal and external customers.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical, hardware, and automation system issues for internal and external customers.
- Provide training and guidance on electrical design concepts and functionalities to stakeholders.

Job Description – Design EngineerTrilliant is looking for a design engineer with a background in electrical engineering for its research and development department. Under the supervision of the principal Engineer, this person will provide support for the design of products for certification and compliance with safety, radio frequency emission and environmental standards. This position would be reporting to the Director of Hardware Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:- Design or support the design of our products based on compliance and certification.
- Prepare and document test plans and results and then perform or supervise these compliance tests at our offices or in the laboratory.
- Conduct and review EMI/EMC/FCC and other testing (surge, ESD, temperature…)
- Develop and design solutions in the event of failure.
- Familiarize yourself with the standards applicable to wireless products internationally.
- Participate in the reviews of our product designs.
- Support, review, and help our team during the testing/debugging of prototypes.
- Prepare and draft the necessary documentation for international certification agencies.
- The person will be part of an international team and will work with our teams in Canada, UK, Malaysia, and other countries on select projects.
- Minimum 5 years of product design experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of wireless transmission certification standards.
- Experience with preparing test plans and reviewing test reports.
- Experience with RF network.
- Experience with Altium.
- Experience in electronic design of high-frequency circuits (an asset).
- Experience working in an anechoic chamber (an asset).
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate level of French understanding.
