+ Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions. Develops deployment strategies and plans.
+ Leads the deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinates site-wide deployment efforts.

+ Conduct on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction.

**Qualification/Requirements**

. Solid understanding of Power Electronics and Electric Circuits.
. Solid understanding of Electric Power Systems, Medium Voltage, Harmonics
. Good literacy in at least one computer programming language.
. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers
. Experience with rotating machines
. Understanding of rotating equipment motor windings, insulations, and familiarity with medium voltage equipment.
. Hands-on experience and knowledge of test instruments (recorders, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, Insulation resistance, Hipot, etc.)

. Willing to travel 100% including distant in-country or aboard limited duration visits.

In response to increased concurrent projects for the design and delivery of our data centers, Oracle is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The role is a senior multi-disciplinary data center design lead with a mechanical background, charged with the direct interface between Oracle and our data center partners in the Mechanical, Controls, Plumbing and Fire functions. With extensive experience designing and delivering mission critical facilities and professional qualifications in mechanical engineering the role is responsible for all design decisions related to assigned data center projects: site selection, new construction, phased expansion, retrofits and upgrades and acquisition conversions.

+ Leads and oversees design and engineering initiatives within the data centre environment, directing all internal and external project team members involved in delivering data centre designs for Oracle
+ Provides guidance and engineering leadership in ensuring project or other design and engineering initiatives are meeting or exceeding company expectations
+ Drives the development and deployment of advanced, high-efficiency thermal management solutions for data centres, partnering with internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative designs that support evolving operational demands
+ Collaborates with colocation providers' engineering teams to ensure that mechanical systems are properly designed, specified, and installed to achieve reliable and robust operation for Oracle
+ Collaborates with engineering teams from all disciplines and other partner teams nad key stakeholders across the organization
+ Leverages knowledge of Oracle processes, procedures, and industry standards to improve design management processes and effectively resolve complex, non-routine design challenges
+ Applies expert-level knowledge of safety practices by integrating safety considerations into the design process and ensuring team adherence to established safe working procedures
+ Contributes to mentoring junior team members and supports the identification and development of training programs for new team members as the team grows.
+ Continuously expands expertise through hands-on experience, vendor training, participation in industry groups, and shadowing colleagues; serves as a subject matter expert on multiple systems and provides training to team members and others across the organization.
+ Provides expert input for effective contract administration including generation and review of contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation
+ Responsible for developing cross-functional standard operating procedures (SOPs) and producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation to support effective communication across teams
+ Facilitates the exchange of information between departments within the organization
+ Contributes to the development, review, and maintenance of best-in-class policies and procedures-incorporating input from stakeholders, participating in design and commissioning activities, and ensuring adherence to established standards across all documentation and processes.
**Requirements:**
+ Expert-level knowledge of data centre infrastructure systems, including cooling, controls, and critical power, with advanced skills in diagnostics and design development
+ Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex, cross-functional issues, exhibiting strong initiative and problem-solving skills
+ Proven track record of recommending and implementing system-level enhancements to proactively eliminate potential issues
+ Experience testing and evaluating the suitability of components and action plans for data centre deployments
+ Recognized as a subject matter expert with extensive knowledge of multiple aspects of the relevant engineering discipline
+ Ability to provide expert guidance and knowledge sharing both within and outside the team
+ Successful history of developing and executing large scale data centre engineering projects
+ Experience leading and presenting at internal and/or external engineering or construction seminars and conferences.

+ Overall 10+ years of work experience is preferred.
+ Previous experience in **HV Cable OEM design teams working for Grid Utilities** (for e.g., National Grid, Trans grid, PowerGrid etc.,) for Underground HV Cables design is highly desirable
+ Exposure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred
+ Previous **design experience working with CYMCAP or other similar software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations, EMTP Calculations and modelling expertise** is highly desirable.
+ Very good communication skills (Oral and Written) in English language is mandatory
