Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:


  • Lead and mentor a team of content specialists, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee workflow and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.


  • In-House Brand Management:


  • Develop and execute content strategies to enhance the visibility and engagement of the in-house brand.
  • Manage and maintain the brand’s digital presence across various platforms.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all digital content and campaigns.


  • ECommerce Support:


  • Collaborate with the eCommerce team to upload and manage content on client websites using Adobe AEM and Drupal.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of product listings, descriptions, and promotional materials.


  • Content Posting and Performance Analysis:


  • Post content on digital platforms and analyze its performance to ensure effectiveness.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure engagement, conversions, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize content strategies.


  • Reporting and Data Analysis:


  • Create and maintain detailed reports on product performance and content effectiveness.
  • Use Excel to analyze data and present findings to stakeholders.


  • Collaboration and Communication:


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, eCommerce, and IT, to align content strategies with business goals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and ensure seamless content delivery.


  • Job Qualifications


  • University Degree / Bachelor’s degree is required, and certifications are preferred.
  • 5-7 years of digital content management experience.
  • Proven expertise in Adobe AEM and Drupal.
  • Strong understanding of brand management and eCommerce practices.
  • Proficiency in posting and managing content on digital platforms.
  • Analytical skills to measure and optimize content performance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel for reporting and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

    Job Description

    The candidate will help to profile the Faculty of Science to diverse audiences by developing impactful long- and short-form content for multiple channels. The candidate’s primary scope is on content strategy and creation, but he / she will also support the team in other areas of work.

    Primary Jobscope

    Content Strategy and Planning

    • Develop and execute content strategy and messaging to support the Faculty’s work

    • Gather insights through data analytics and derive actionable steps in optimising content

    • Proactive in researching leads for story development

    Content Creation

    • Develop original and quality content according to briefs

    • Work with content owners to translate complex technical information into compelling content for diverse audiences

    • Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure timely and relevant content updates across multiple touchpoints including publications, socials, articles / blogs, speeches, Q&A documents, website copy, electronic direct mailers, etc

    Quality Assurance

    • Advanced proofreading and editing skills to maintain high-quality standards for all content and ensure accuracy and clarity

    • Ensure consistency in tone, style and adherence to editorial guidelines

    Secondary Jobscope

    Work with the team in other areas of work, which include but are not limited to events management, digital communications, engagement with stakeholders to support outreach.

    Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

    • Relevant qualifications at least at diploma level and related experience

    • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with an ability to turn complex topics into simple, engaging narratives (backed with a portfolio of published articles)

    • Competent in long- and short-form content development

    • Interest in science communications preferred

    • Must be able to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple projects concurrently and work well under pressure.

    • Organised with attention to detail

    • Software proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), Adobe creative suite and photography skills would be a definite advantage

    - Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.

    - The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits

    - The incumbent will be placed on a fixed term contract of two years (renewable).
