• Undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practicals; consultation with students, invigilation, marking and assessment
• Participate and contribute in high quality programme and curriculum development
• Plan and implement teaching strategies to optimise student learning as well as to motivate them
• Support in research project work and scholarship of postgraduate students
• Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University’s teaching and learning expectations

Research

• Participate in scholarly activities, including undertaking research, conference presentation, journal publications and relevant community work
• Support efforts to secure grants for research activities and scholarship as co-researcher
• Achieve the specified set of research outcome targets for Senior Lecturer level of appointment

Administration and Other Activities

• Undertake and contribute in administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, participate in committees and working groups within the Department, School and Faculty
• Participate in continuous relevant professional activities
• Assist in establishing linkages with external organisations/ professional bodies in academic related matters

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a PhD from a recognised university in Early Childhood Education, Special Education Needs, other relevant fields
• Candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience in teaching / research / industry
• Possess a strong publication record with at least 2-4 publications in C.I. journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years
• Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth RM20,000-RM30,000 (cumulative)
• Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills
• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning
• Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice/consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will play a vital role in the Talent Acquisition function, partnering with the business and HR leaders to provide technical expertise and solutions to current and future challenges, including Employer Branding. You will drive energizing initiatives across Malaysia & Indonesia, attracting the best candidates in line with Global and business strategies.

This position will be for two-year fixed-term contract with ABB.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid , Onsite

This role contributes across all Business Areas in the region and is based out in Malaysia. Main stakeholders are Talent Acquisition Community, Business Leaders, HRBP’s and Employees.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Deploying the Employer Value Proposition and key topics primarily for Early Talents in Malaysia and Indonesia - in line with the global guidelines and customize them to the local market across all existing activities, communication materials/channels.
• Engaging in branding initiatives and ensuring materials and digital platforms are on brand and regular social media campaigns and posts are performed to attract suitable candidates for the business in Malaysia and Indonesia.
• Building solid networks with Universities, Students’ associations and subject specific networks in in Malaysia and Indonesia(i.e. engineering associations, female students’ networks, etc.) identifying their success factors and positioning ABB as the employer of choice for the annual campus hiring drive.
• Marketing, coordinating and contributing to manage the existing ABB Discovery rotational program which includes continuous contacts with the business stakeholders, the other GBS HR colleagues and the participants and contributing to the review of the process to make it more efficient. Keeping KPI and data tracking.
• Setting up, promoting and contributing to finalize other initiatives and programs that support the pipeline of early talents and professionals for ABB in Malaysia and Indonesia and managing the given budget and building cases to get business support where necessary.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business/HR/Communications related fields and experience in Employer Branding and University Relations in an international corporation.
• 5+ years of experience with branding and communications, ideally developing marketing and social media campaigns and plans.
• Good knowledge of the campus recruitment environment with end-to-end process thinking and experience of managing projects.
• Ability to network with and influence senior Business and HR leaders.
• Very good communication skills in English is a must with strong customer service orientation.
• Self-driven, resilient, energetic, enthusiastic and inclusive; creating or responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.

Impact Futures and The Childcare Company have a brand-new opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our Childcare Team as an Early Years Level 5 Development Coach.

As an Early Years Development Coach, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices to deliver a quality learning experience for their L2 Early Years Practitioner and L3 Early Years and the Level 5 Apprenticeship Standard within their place of work, whilst providing exceptional support to both learners and employers. This may include learners on a Diploma only basis. This is a hybrid role: there is an expectation to visit learners occasionally for progress reviews and additional tutoring within and around your given area.

The role will involve:

1. Leading a caseload of learners, supporting them to achieve their apprenticeship or qualification covering all areas of knowledge, skills, and behaviours as well as any additional requirements
2. Regularly assessing work and providing constructive feedback including SPAG and update the E-Portfolio system (APTEM)
3. Providing support to those learners who require Functional Skills maths and/or English at Level 1 or 2
4. Providing careers information, advice, and guidance throughout the learners’ journey, allowing learners to understand progression routes available to them

• Extensive experience of working in an Early Years setting and qualified up to L5 in Early Years
• Assessor Qualification, e.g., D32/D33, A1 or CAVA
• Teaching qualification, e.g., PTLLS, PGCE, AET
