E-commerce Manager - must have hands-on experience in managing ad buys, managing ROAS (Return on Ads Spend), and analyzing abandoned carts. The candidate must be willing to do hands-on work.

Position Summary

We are looking for a key growth enabler for eCommerce to support business growth by developing and executing e-commerce plans, managing online launches, overseeing the existing product portfolio, and implementing, tracking, and optimizing insight-driven targeting and retargeting campaigns across all online channels.

As an expert, you will use a mix of creativity and strong analytical skills to identify ad optimization opportunities, improve the customer journey, and increase conversions through digital campaigns. Your expertise will help the business in acquiring, converting, and retaining online shoppers.

Key Responsibility Area - Support Ecommerce Execution and Conversion

  1. Plan and optimize all customer acquisition channels (including SEM, SEO, Paid Social, Display, Mobile networks).
  2. Analyze data, reports, and trends on consumer insights to optimize ROAS efficiency.
  3. Support the development of integrated marketing and budget plans based on insights to meet business objectives.
  4. Oversee the performance marketing budget and ensure optimal allocation across channels, geographies, and marketing funnel stages.
  5. Partner proactively with Commercial and Cross-functional teams for KPI tracking and execution.
  6. Manage eCommerce creatives and content, implementing innovative digital strategies that integrate with other marketing functions.
  7. Support the development of digital & social media strategies for the Singapore/Malaysia markets to increase brand awareness, traffic, and sales.
  8. Perform decent copywriting and simple design work.
  9. Provide any ad hoc support to the eCommerce manager as needed.

Mandatory Experience and Qualifications

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of practical Performance Marketing experience with a proven ability to build conversion-focused programs and work with cross-functional teams on performance tracking and optimization.
  2. Experience working with start-ups, eCommerce platforms, or FMCG is a plus.
  3. Hands-on experience with Performance marketing channels like Facebook ads, eCommerce Paid Search, Affiliate marketing (including influencer marketing).
  4. Familiarity with Google AdWords and Google Analytics Certification is a plus.
  5. Familiarity with CRM, Social Media Management, Marketing Automation, and Engagement tools is a plus.
  6. Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Marketing, New Media, Digital Media, Web Development, or equivalent; other relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous.
  7. Basic understanding of web technologies, Java, JQuery, HTML5, PHP is a plus.
  8. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
  9. A strong balance between strategic, data-driven, and hands-on creative approaches.
  10. Self-motivated, takes initiative, and loves to see results.

Job Responsibilities:

E-commerce Strategy and Planning

  • Work closely with the Sales Director and the global Digital & Marketing team to create and implement e-commerce commercial and digital strategies aimed at building brand relevance and gaining market share. Develop customized strategies for Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora based on each platform's unique dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly e-commerce business objectives by brand, including Gross Merchandising Value (GMV), Net Sales, Unique Visitors, Conversion Rate, and the number of brand followers on e-commerce platforms. Provide regular and timely forecasts and communication to internal key stakeholders.

E-commerce Commercial Calendar Development and Management

  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Marketing, and HQ teams to develop commercial calendars based on e-commerce and overall brand calendars to increase visibility on ecommerce platforms. Plan digital and e-commerce campaigns and activities on an annual, monthly, and weekly basis, tailored to the specific requirements and opportunities of Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora.
  • Develop robust e-commerce merchandising plans to meet the needs of key online windows, ensuring that strategies are aligned with the unique characteristics and customer preferences of each platform.

Consumer Experience & Engagement Management

  • Build and own the strategy for the consumer journey across all digital touchpoints, focusing on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Customize the consumer experience strategy for Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora to maximize engagement and conversion on each platform.
  • Collaborate with HQ and local marketing teams to identify creative needs for digital plans, manage and execute briefs to enrich the digital consumer journey. Serve as the dedicated contact person for local marketing teams to provide guidance and share best practices across local digital plans.

Customer & Vendor Management

  • Establish strong partnerships with key contacts of e-commerce platforms through regular communication and meetings. Focus on building and maintaining relationships with platform representatives in Singapore and Malaysia to maximize business opportunities.
  • Understand platform requirements for key projects and business windows to maximize business opportunities. Lead and partner with external e-commerce agencies to ensure effective planning and execution of e-commerce operations, with a focus on the Singapore and Malaysia markets.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Manage e-commerce marketing and promotion budgets, with a focus on optimizing spend for the Singapore and Malaysia markets.
  • Track expenses and accruals with supporting documentation. Source, evaluate, recommend, and manage various suppliers to achieve objectives at the best possible price, considering the specific needs and opportunities of the Singapore and Malaysia markets.
  • Perform regular planning analysis, review, and improve return on advertising spend (ROAS). Arrange vendor payments. Stay informed about the competitive marketplace and consumer trends in Singapore and Malaysia. Build networks and relationships and act as a partner with HQ and regional teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above is required.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in working in similar level of eComm or e-marketing roles in e-commerce environment.
  • Strong in managing Lazada, Shopee, and Zalora platforms and develop customized plans to ensure continuous growth.
  • Experience in managing external e-commerce agencies and strong skill sets in online store operations.
  • Capability of on-line marketing and digital is desirable.
  • Rich project management experience.
  • Deep insights on current marketing trends, including personalization, targeting and data-driven planning.

  • Managing and growing Clarks social media communities on owned Facebook, Tik Tok and leverage on global IG to ensure consistent feature on SEA ANZ contents.
  • ENERGISE our social channels with inspiring, entertaining and informative content, building relevance within each channel whilst staying true to the Clarks brand positioning.
  • Activate a ‘Social first’ brand strategy, delivering INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS that drive follower growth and engagement in key channels; acting fast to ‘test & learn’ new initiatives that place us at the forefront of new developments within social and gaming.
  • Build and nurture an engaged digital community, responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, brand-right manner.
  • Encouraging user-generated content and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Monitoring social media trends and identifying potential issues that could impact the brand.
  • Collaborating with other teams (retail, VM, marketing) to develop content and strategies.
  • Monitoring community engagement and growth using KPIs follower growth rate, and engagement rate.
  • Social media guardian for SEA and ANZ pages, ensuring alignment in content calendars, tone of voice, and brand consistency across all platforms.

KOL & Creator Partnerships

  • ACTIVATE UGC & influencer content as a key pillar of Clarks social strategies. Develop clear KPI’s and metrics and optimise in real time to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
  • Foster relationships with influencers, and TikTok creators to amplify organic reach.
  • Work with creators to produce authentic, relevant content that speaks to our target audience and product benefits.
  • Track performance of influencer collaborations and ensure alignment with campaign KPIs.

TikTok Live & Social Commerce

  • In collaboration with E-commerce Director, develop and grow a dedicated TikTok Live community – management and coordinating livestream
  • Partner with internal teams and talent to ensure livestreams are entertaining, brand-right, and commerce-focused.
  • Monitor social conversations, trends, and competitor activity to proactively identify content opportunities or potential risks
  • Share regular insights and recommendations with the wider team to keep Clarks culturally relevant and community-first

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional written communication skills; including firm grasp of English grammar
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, or digital community management (retail/fashion/footwear background preferred)
  • Proven experience of copy writing for social channel with strong written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for tone, trends, and detail
  • In depth knowledge of social media trends, concepts, best practices, and analytics
  • Organizational, Project Management, and Customer Relationship skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in managing TikTok and driving engagement or commerce through livestreaming will be an advantage.
