ROLE SUMMARY

The Social Manager will be responsible for a group of key brands for VMLY&R Malaysia, working with a team of managers and executives to lead strategy in campaign planning and always on for social.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead in content strategic planning across social platforms on a monthly basis to provide direction for a few FMCG brand's online presence.
  • Collaborate with the creative & account teams to create and deliver best-in-class social media and content-driven campaigns for our clients.

Overview

Our social media already reaches 15M+ views every month , mostly from short videos. With over 1M followers across our platforms , we’re ready to bring them fresh, engaging content — from graphics and memes to carousels and beyond . That’s why we’re looking for a Social Media Manager to make it happen.

What You’ll Do
  • Hunt for trending news, memes & viral topics every day.
  • Engage with our followers through comments and DMs to build stronger connections.
  • Help identify trending topics that we’ll produce as short videos for our brands .
  • Manage and execute client campaigns across all social media platforms (sponsored posts, branded content, reporting).
  • Create scroll-stopping content — Reels/TikToks, carousels, memes & graphics.
  • Attend events for live coverage on our social media when needed (for clients or brand campaigns).
  • Post consistently (3–6 times daily ) to keep our audience buzzing.
  • Grow our monthly reach & engagement (not just follower numbers).
  • Monitor performance and share insights on what’s working.
Location

Remote-friendly, but we prefer someone based in Kuala Lumpur for event coverage when required.

What We’re Looking For
  • Skilled in Canva (design) & CapCut (video editing).
  • Fast & agile — able to turn a trend into content within hours.
  • Independent, proactive, and results-driven.
